Send me a PM if you want me to do it.
I'm actually in the US. So not sure that would be possible

Oh sorry about that. It was late Anyway I appreciate you guys offering to do this. But since I'm in the US I don't know if that would be possible or not. I'd hate to send it to Nintendo and they find out I have HBC etc... on there and charge an arm and a leg. Any other ideas? Where can you buy a Nand programmer. Are they hard to use/expensive?

Proper nand programmer can be around $200-$4000 quite easily.

infectus will cost you around $30-40 which is more of a hack - but it works.

Difficulty just depends on how good you are at soldering.

Ah, wow. If anything I think I'd go with the chip. Do you have a link to one? I found donzens of them but not sure which one to get. I bought this Wii in 2007 btw if that helps. Thanks!

*Edit* I'm pretty decent at soldering. Years ago I had a bitch of a time soldering a xecuter ship for my Xbox. So this should be easy for me.

this is alot smaller than the xbox stuff.

If you open up your wii and look at the chip on the underside of the board in the centre, you need to solder to the legs of that chip.

Infectus is open chip, can upload code to it and make it do what ever you like within reason.

you need to flash it into a nand flasher using the apps etc in the first post. once you done that and wired it up you should be good to go.

read last couple of pages if you have samsung nand chip as they need better ground etc.

to confirm you wii will be repairable, post the first 4 numbers from the bottom right of the large chip under the heatsink.

    should start 06,07,08,09 or 10

Thanks a lot for helping me with this! I got most of the screws out. But looks like there are some silly little screws called triwing screws. wtf Nintendo?!? Anyway I don't have a triwing screw driver. I've gotten most of those out using a small flat head. But the others are being a pain :/

Good idea! Yep that's me lol. I do have a full backup. I was thinking of programming it myself. But I'm not sure. I'd much rather someone do it for me :/
