    Steps for what i did:
    - Position the infectus chip as close as possible to the NAND, right above a GND point (hole).
    - Use a VERY short and VERY thick GND wire (i used a thick piece of a desoldering wick) and solder it as close as possible between the GND point and the infectus.
    - Use as short as possible wires, excluding the Q wire which MUST be around 15cm (as erikie said).
    - Add additional GND wires to both GND points on the infectus, going to different places on the Wii.

All of this has actually been pointed out by others already. It must just be done VERY correctly it seems.
Now i can flash the NAND just fine.
I also have great success with Xavbox now, however, i only tried read/erase/erase verify/write/compare with 15 + 15 blocks, so i can't be 100% sure that it will work in all cases.
I did the actual programming with "Infectus NAND Flasher 1.03".

A big thanks to erikie for the tutorial & tips and a big thanks to you other guys for hints & tips!

Now bootmii shows up fine and i got the keys, however, since this wii was a full brick (bought used on auction), i have other issues to solve now..

    Thanks again!
After following your guidelines, I finally got my infectus to properly read/write to the samsung nand. I did as you suggested and used a really think ground wire and used both ground points. I did not use a longer Q wire but I did use a thicker wire for V (Vcc) and soldered it to the capacitor to the right of the nand labeled C127.

Thanks for saving my sanity Spzx0!

(If your wondering what's up with the 5V wire, I ended up blowing one of the voltage regulators while testing the chip with a multimeter and had to steal 5V from the USB port. I trimmed that ground wire on the top left before hooking everything up btw.)

I am not sure which version of boot1 I need for this console though. I have tried a boot1a with bootmii installed as boot2v4 (Thanks erikie) but I get no DVD light with that one. Does anyone have a dump of bootmii on a boot1b and/or boot1c boot2v4 they could send me ?

Thanks for saving my sanity Spzx0!
Sweet! I'm glad you got it to work!
Thanks for the Vcc tip! That could be useful to keep in mind in the future.
I can't help you with the dump though, but I'm sure Bad_Ad84 has already helped you out there. If not, I'm sure that he or someone else will.

I have a dump of every version except boot1a, the one I really need. Funny how things work out, you always find everything you don't need before you finally find what your looking for.

    Lightbulb

Success! After searching high and low for a bootmii dump with a boot1 version that matches mine (still unsure what version it is, as wiinand says unknown), I compared all the bootmii dumps with boot2v4 and noticed they were all the same aside from block 0, so I just opened my bricked nand dump in a hex editor , copied block 0 and then pasted it over block 0 of the working bootmii boot2v4 dump and saved it as a new file. I then wrote this file to my nand using XavBox 1.0.0.7 by choosing the options to write only blocks 0-7 and used nand formatter to restore the system menu. Thanks for all the help everyone!

Post #143 on this thread is not yours. What is the issue you are having. I am in Canada and can unbrick any Wii which can have bootmii installed as boot2. If this is what you need, send me a PM and we will work something out.
