Just buy the infectus mod chip solder it to the board and re-flash it.
First try to flash a couple of blocks and read them back to see if flashing works ok. Sometimes you need additional ground wires to the infectus board to have it working properly!
If you don't want to do it yourself you need to find someone in your neighborhood who can do it for you. I doubt you are from the Netherlands but I will be more than happy to do it for you.
I'm not from the Netherlands, as you assumed, but I'm very good with soldering, so I should be fine. BootMii said my NAND backup was fine after verifying it, so I think that should be good. Thanks, dude, I'll be sure to empty my wallet onto this damn Infectus… It'd be cool if it was cheaper…

So, I'm gonna be ordering an Infectus 2 soon. I was wondering, though, would it be possible to install BootMii as Boot2 on my 4.2 Wii with the new Boot1 if I used Infectus to manually write it onto the NAND or something like that? Like, is it possible to essentially downgrade the Boot1 and overwrite Boot2 with BootMii using the Infectus chip?

EDIT: I have a friend with System Menu 4.1 and BootMii installed as Boot2. Could I just copy his Boot1 and Boot2 off his NAND backup onto my own and flash that?

sorry but this won't work. You need the vulnerable boot1 in your wii and you cannot change the boot1 in your own wii as the wii expects a certain version of boot1 in your wii due to the key burned into OTP memory. Believe me I also tried this already and it does not work!

Damn. Well once I have the Infectus maybe I'll keep the wires soldered into the Wii so if I need to use it again I can simply attach them to the Infectus again without soldering.

    Infectus, which part number?

    Hi,

I have a fullybricked Wii and would like to do the Infectus procedure to get it back in life. However, having read a few forums and browsing the reseller websites for Infectus modchips, I am still not sure which "Infectus" product to order. I would like to follow either of the following procedures:
Wii brick fixing. Using an infectus tutorial. - GBAtemp.net
    or
    http://www.wiihacks.com/bricked-wii-...installed.html

Please direct me to a suitable Infectus modchip product.

    Thanks in advance

Buy the infectus 2 modchip, be sure not to buy the developers edition.
How old is your wii? if it has the newer boot1 than it will not work

    Hi erikie,
Thanks again for responding to my query. I had been away from this forum for a few days as I had to work on an assignment deadline almost 40 now and still studying
Ok, so is this INFECTUS2 "WII D2E D2C2 D2C DMS 6 WIRS SUPPORT!" - X360 - MULTI PLATFORM (X360-WII) + DEVELOPE HOT PRODUCT X360 - X360 Expansion a good one for me? Well, I have in fact 2 Wiis to be unbricked from Low Level Brick and one is from last June 09 and the other is just from last month. I guess they are both bricked for good Do you think I should still give this a try?

    Thanks

It is the correct chip however if you do not have the keys or a nand backup of those wiis you can throw them away or keep them until there will be a solution for those new boot1 style wiis.

If you have a nand backup from when the wii was still working then you can unbrick it using the nand flash method. No problem. It is only a shitty work to get the wires to the nand but when that is done you can flash it and your wii will work again
If you think I helped you please click the little thanks button
Send me a PM if you have any questions regarding unbricking with infectus mod chip or post a message in here http://www.wiihacks.com/bricked-wii-...installed.html
