The first one did finish. I received the complete message for the first command. I even restarted and tried again.

When I first ran nand-aes-dump.exe it gave me an error and told me that it probably needed keys.bin too. Adding that let the aes-dump run correctly. Does having to use key.bin change the other commands I need to run to get the decrypted folder?

I've also noticed that the zestig command has the argument 'nand_dec.bin'. does the command create this file? If zestig is running on nand-key.bin AND nand_dec.bin; I don't have a file in the folder named nand_dec.bin. I have keys.bin, nand.bin, and nand-key. Does this mean that this 'NAND-bin2raw.exe nand.bin nand_dec.bin' didn't run correctly as I have no nand_dec.bin? I tried running it with keys.bin in addition to nand.bin and it didn't change anything.

    Any ideas?

I ran 'NAND-bin2raw.exe nand.bin nand_dec.bin' as an admin and it did create a nand_dec file, but zestig still crashes.

You can use Showmiiwads v1.3b - Tools, Extract Bootmii Dump.

Also, as has been mentioned in this thread elsewhere, zestig.exe does not work on all computers.
Try a different PC, if one is available.

I am no programmer / developer, but just curious how does wiiflow or the usb gx loader retrun to the home - wii menu? in wiiflow it returns to the wiimenu? is it more to do with the fact the nand in emulated??
You are correct that's it's because Triiforce is using an eumulated NAND and Wiiflow/gx do not.

There is work being done to solve this issue.
Waninkoko has a new cIOS v18 with improvments to the EMU NAND under testing.
    It should be public soon.

The exact release date of cIOS v18 has yet to be determined, but it will be released when it's released, no sooner.

    Another computer is not available.

When I try to run Showmiiwads on the nand I get a long error that says it can't open the file. It creates a nand-extracteda foler, but it is empty.

    Can you run SimpleFSDumper 0.42?
It creates a backup of the NAND that needs no decryption.

The only other suggestion I could make is to send your NAND to a friend you trust and let them decrypt it on their computer.

When I try to run the 'wiiload' aplication it pops up a command window and quits so quickly I can't see what it says.

Am I supposed to run SFSD as a homebrew program on the Wii and use it to extract the nand to the SD card instead of bootmil? Or is it another windows app I can't get to run?

I'm not sure how to run it as I can't find and instructions for it.

I've retried it with new downloads, new nand from bootmil, fresh everything several times. I haven't tried safe mode, but my system is very fresh; I did a new format and install of Windows 7 less than a month ago. Maybe it has problems with 7 or 64 bit. Very frustrating.
