I think he means load from inside of a USB Loader like a regular Wii game rather than from a channel in the system menu. This would be tits for people who boot right into a usb loader.

    Question

The only other thing I have yet to attempt was to rebuild the entire triiforce_mrc using the latest triiforce code as I think there have been 4 minor revisions since mrc v7 was released. Most of what the new version will handle related to loading games on a per console basis and usb loading functionality like being able to store images on the usb device as well as the config files.

Right now we are just working out a small memory issue (at least I think it is that) that can pop up if you reload consoles too many times in a row, but when we are done, you should be able to use triiforce without an sd card at all.

Not random for me crashes everytime everygame on Wii menu option. Didn't you say that you fixed it in one of the autoload version? Which one was it, and can you fix the same way for the upcoming release? Another question how big have your title and ticket folders gotten? Does it do it all the time for anyone else every game?

Thanks for all your hard work if it didn't crash every game I would say screw the emulators.

Black screens and freezes every time for me whenever exiting from game to Wii Menu. Reset just restarts the game. If this has not been addressed could I suggest a poll to gather info on system menu version, boot.dol version, etc.... to find out which combination works?

And that's the one I use, which I've used from the off, so image loading from USB has always worked for me, and so I never needed to use or test any others.

Ok the crash that I fixed upon exit was a crash that occurred when exiting from triiforce itself, not from a game (you know the menu when you hit the home button while browsing for a game to play? You can exit from that and it would always code dump) That was one of the first things I fixed.

I have noticed that most WiiWare games I have played will restart the Wii If I use Home > Reset, and they now seem to black screen if I go Home > Wii Menu (which used to restart the wii on an old SFSD 0.2 dump).

The few VC games I have tried, when I use Home > Reset, the game resets and Home > Wii Menu froze the Wii. I don't know why VC acts differently.

I originally got into Triiforce for the sake of playing WiiWare as I handle all other consoles via emulators so as you can guess, this isn't a big issue for myself. Since so many people are using it for VC games, I figure I'd do some poking around and try to find a solution, but it's not easy.

The problem is, I really don't know what is involved when you select Wii Menu as I believe it may be the cIOS handling that. There is no code in triiforce (that I know of) that deals with "what happens when you press Home > Wii Menu" so trying to code to fix it from black screening would be a shot in the dark.

Maybe it has more to do with the nand dump? That's why for the longest time when people said they were getting black screens I wasn't, because I was using a different nand dump method.

If anyone is having problems with the their Wii remote sync inside TriiForce, like I was, simply remove the back battery cover and press the sync buttons on the remote and on the Wii itself (like you had to when you first got it).

It seems obvious, but I know there were some other people who had this issue.

Personally, I didn't make a new NAND backup I just downloaded one from this website. Since the remote sync info is stored in the NAND, the problem makes sense. Luckily the NAND emulation is smart enough to update its sync information after manually resetting it (using the two buttons) so this only has to be done once per remote.

Also, if you have to set a partition to Active to get TriiForce to recognize your titles you can do so through Disk Management in Windows.

Just thought I'd share, thanks for the awesome thread!

Again thanks Sinyk for your efforts, maybe you are beginning to regret it? Out of interest which nand dump method worked for you? I'll give it a try and report back.

I believe I am using the method described in the guide, but I also tried the SimpleFSDumper 0.42 dump (complete dump). If I recall, I had a game lock up on me when I loaded it using the 0.42 method so I went back to the BootMii one.

Originally, I was using a SimpleFSDumper 0.2 nand, but since so many people were reporting better game compatibility with the BootMii nand, I switched. It also helps me when people have problems because then I have a greater chance of duplicating the issue.

Euphoria420: I actually ran into a game the other night that de-synchronized my wiimote when it loaded. I did the same thing, just pressed the sync button and eventually I got past that, but if I quit triiforce and restarted that game, i would desync again (I don't remember exactly what game, but I also don't know if I even got into the game to play it.)

I am slowly compiling a list of games that are working for me, but I'm sort of basing it off of the existing triiforce compatibility list that you can find online. I have already found a couple games that work that they said don't, like adventure island (it did have some long load times though, 20-30 seconds, but it is playable)
