It was written by Nicksasa, one of the persons who wrote Triiforce

    Simple FS Dumper 0.41 - GBAtemp.net

Pay attention and use only version 0.42 or above as eariler versions did not make a complete dump.

The nice thing about SimpleFSDump is, you don't need to unencrypt the NAND.
    Just run and done.

sorry i did not understand how to dump the nand with simple fs dump

    oh and sorry for doubleposting

Has anyone removed everything but the bare essentials from ShowMiiNand (ie only left on the wads they want to play) and it still works?

I was wondering if there is anything essential that must be left there for it still to run ok as a nand emu on the Wii.

I would love to trim my directory size down by a huge amount and most of the larger files are the ones from the system files themselves.

Maybe I should just make a backup and have a go and see what happens

Oh - the 4 letter code, I understand the first 3 letters are the game code and 4th is the region code (mostly), what are all the last letters available and what do they stand for - anyone know?

Like I have Alex Kidd, 3 versions, as WADS (I downloaded a ton of WiiWare packs from various trackers - each have their own take though on what game they put in them, so for instance)

Alex Kidd MAXP Rev 1 IOS9
Alex Kidd LAEP Rev 0 IOS33
Alex Kidd TLS LANP Rev 1 IOS53

All have last letter P so they are all Pal, so which one is the preferred choice to install - the higher IOS number the later the version maybe?

    tia for any help

Thanks for the guide, well done. I was wondering if there is any way to get my VC games from the Wii into .wad form to include in Triiforce.

just dl the .wad files for the games and inject them into the emu NAND just like the guide says on how to install games... all the VC/WIIWARE games are available via the "internet" in .wad format....

Sorry guys, I haven't been to active around here lately. I've just been too busy. The last thing I was trying was the different methods of getting a NAND dump and I seem to have some interesting findings.

I believe for the most part I have been using an old simpleFSDumper 0.2 version dump with games installed using the wad2nand method with few issues, but then I realized I changed to guide to use the BootMii dump decryption.

So I took my old bootmii dump, decrypted it, installed some games using showMiiWads and tested it out. What was one of the first things that happened? Suddenly my games would not reboot the wii upon exit and instead hung at a black screen!

I then decided to try the SimpleFSDumper 0.42 method. In here I noticed you can choose the level of dump that you want from a basic dump that only gets the essentials to a complete dump. I tried the complete dump, installed some games using ShowMiiWads and once again, I couldn't reboot after exiting a game.

I have yet to try the basic dump to see if there is any change. I'm really curious as to what is different between all of these and what exactly is affecting the rebooting functionality.

I was checking out the TriiForce mrc thread at GBAtemp and saw someone made ISO forwarders that will boot converted wiiware from a usb loader, but wouldn't work for me because I messed up my converted wiiware, I think when I converted some VC and injected wads. Now just the VC games work and the wiiware don't work.

    +1 for sticky
