I have posted a new(er) version of triiforce MRC SS (I should have posted this ages ago.) This version was a mod created by Kallstar and is thus known as Triiforce_MRC_SS version 2.01!

Available now in the all-new Triiforce MRC SS PACK 3.0

This version is USB nand loading only, so you must have your nand files on the root of your USB device's Fat32 partition, same with the triiforce_mrc file.

    CHANGE LOG:
    Code:
Quick integration of MRC SS into marc's latest v8 triiforce mrc.

This is a USB ONLY version of Triiforce. It will only load images and nand from USB.

    changes ported over from SS

    *AUTO USB ONLY
    *console selection
*return to console selection on B
*settings path changed to usb saving/loading

    other changes
-console selection defaults to 12 icon layout
    -all new background/logo

    Other notes
*changing layout to 9icon layout doesnt save properly in the config file :( my bad
*no dvd-style icons in this yet, just 12 and 9 icon layout

    Kallstar

Compiled version included. Put the boot.dol into your triiforce folder to use it.

Source to TriiForce MRC v8 and TriiForce MRC SS included.
I actually upgraded to this version a while ago and forgot about it. I have to admit, it looks fantastic and retains much of the enhancements that the SS version brought with it.

On that note, if I get time, and some ambition, I may investigate the last version of triiforce_mrc (10b) and see if there are any SS optimizations that could go into it as well.

So it is also the first fat32 partition? And cluster size not bigger than 32k?

I have used Triiforce with differing levels of success, Right now I am starting to pull my hair out a bit as it seems an extremely tempramental application. I am not bashing it! Its a great idea and when its 100 % finished it will be fantastic.

My question is, is there a similar app I can use to compare it? USB only?

    Thanks

It will never be 100% finished as no one is really working on it anymore. The fact that who it will work with is random it's very difficult to diagnose possible problems. Since I have setup my triiforce install, I have barely had any issues running games (with the exception of when I updated to rev19 or was working on the SS code)

Do I need IOS249 v17 installed in both "original" and nand backup?

I want to say yes, but the way to really tell is if you install it to your wii then run triiforce, open the options menu with the home button and look at the version posted in the upper right (I thinkt hat's where it shows it). If it says 17, I think you should be fine, but if it shows your other version, you will need to redump your nand.

The main problem I have is, it works absolutely fine from Sd but not from a Hard drive. I have followed this guide to the letter but still no joy. I know my HD is found but it just will not load up.

I'm starting to think triiforce is picky with hard drives. I use a 3.5" external that I assembled from a seagate drive and a $25 enclosure and it works perfectly, but it seems like a lot of people who buy ready-made externals are having troubles. It's really a crap-shoot trying to figure out the cause. Running it from SD seems to be the most fail-safe method, but USB gives you more space to play with generally.
