Don't expect updates overnight as I need to get up to speed with the changes. (installing multiple revisions to different IOS'? That's crazy talk! Also I don't have Hermes yet and it seems like running Hermes and waninkoko's custom IOS' at the same time is now the norm. I'm so behind the times...)

Last night I was going to put ciosx rev20b on my Wii but decided not to yet as many people reported broken functionality. Just updating homebrew to 1.0.8 gave me the itch to update everything else.
Thank god that you're again with us! I was worried about you, but now everything is OK
Do you plan to continue with development of Triiforce? I'm asking you this question because I plan to deal with it on my console. Is still the best way of playing VC/WiiWare games? I saw on forum a couple of tutorials which explain other ways. This is not question just for you, can someone answer me, who tried other tuts, which one is the best?
    Thanks in advance for replays!
    Cheers!

PS. And same as you I want to update my softmod but I don't know from where to begin

I apologise to marc_max, I was just happy that Sinyk is again with us. He was king of this thread.
So, if I understood right, your recommendations goes to new project that you linked in reply. I'm going to switch on it and study everything.
    Thanks!

I haven't touched MRC SS in quite a while let alone my Wii really. I wanted to play a Wii game I had sitting around for a while on my USB HDD and it wouldn't load and because of that I am now thinking I need to get back into this. With the creation of marc_max's Mighty Channels, triiforce MRC has taken a backseat in production. I'm not certain mighty channels will be the solution to everything but I suppose I will wait and see. I may investigate Sneek in the meantime to see how it stacks up compared to Triiforce MRC.

I liked the flexibility of installation methods when it came to Triiforce, but that also lead to many configuration and setup issues with different users, as has been shown by the length of this thread. It's just not as cut and dry as I would have liked. What works for one person doesn't work for another. The purpose of this guide was to try and smooth out as many issues as I could find but when someone gets a random issue like "Cannot see title list", it can be very tough to track down the reason why as not everyone's Wii is the same.

I need to get myself up to date on the Wii hacks (and get my Wii up to date as well!)

    Solved: See end for solution

I'm currently having a bit of trouble running Triiforce.

I followed the SoftMod for ANY 4.2 tutorial and ended with positive results.

With the tutorial, I used a 1GB Kingston MiniSD card w/ SD adapter.
I've partitioned my 120GB Seagate FreeAgent Go with a WBFS and FAT32 partition (set to active).

I intended on using the USB only method, so I moved all of the contents of the SD Card to the HDD prior to installing Triiforce. I extracted the the USB version and installed via WAD manager 1.5 using USB 2.0 as the source, all went fine. (Note: I never tried it prior to installing a few games)
I installed a few games using ShowMiiWads, again, no problems. Copied all contents of my nand folder over to the root of the hdd.

I select Triiforce from the system menu and then hit start, it shows a black "Wii" graphic and then returns me to the system screen. I figured possibly a bad game was loaded, so I removed all the contents of the nand folder, still the same results.

    Any ideas?

Edit: Solved: I was under the impression that I had dl'd the USB only version of the software, but I apparently downloaded the pack. This caused me to not extract the proper version I wanted in the apps/triiforce folder.

I should update the pack at some point. I'm just going through some of the steps to get my Wii up to date with cIOS' and software.

My Triiforce is fine, but the need to install cIOS20b is becoming more and more important.
So, is there a way to go to cIOS20b without breaking Triiforce?

It is said an expert is someone who has made all the mistakes. I don't want to be a Wii expert then..thanks to everyone at WiiHacks
