I followed all the steps for usb and it was working fine. I installed 2 recent games like I have before and now Triiforce wouldn't recognize my usb. Can someone please tell me what I did wrong? Thank you.

Okay so for some reason I can NOT get any images to show for the games. I put this on a Wii yesterday and it worked fine. Now today I'm doing it on my own and it's not working. All the images are in the triiforce_mrc folder in the root of the drive and are correct size/name. Any ideas why it's not showing them. I've put the images in the USB drive AND the SD card thinking maybe i installed the wrong one. The games load fine, but no images.

You're using the same set of images as yesterday or from a new source?

I cant seem to find a solution anywhere. Help appreciated.
If you want to fix the 'Return to Wii' function of HOME menu (in-game), just rename /ticket/00000001/00000002.tik to _00000002.tik (or delete it) from your NAND dump.

Is it normal for Wiiware games run through Triiforce to not be able to connect to the internet? I fired up Mega Man 9 yesterday and couldn't get online to check the leaderboards. The connection is fine because I've tested it in the Wii settings menu.

Anyone else? I deleted the folder, redownloaded the images from first post of this thread and tried again and still nothing. I'm sure it's something dumb, but I can't figure it out...

So, I want to use Triiforce to run N64 and WiiWare games from my external HDD (1 TB), because I want to use the SD Card (4 GB) for my DSi again. I have a 128 MB SD Card lying around somewhere, so that would be enough for applications and settings. I already use emulators for NES, SNES and MegaDrive/Genesis, but Wii64 isn't as good as Virtual Console.

I don't know if it makes any difference to how my HDD is formatted, but it looks like:

Partition W (formatted to FAT32) (set to Active Partition) (10 GB): This partition is for all NES, SNES, MegaDrive/Genesis, N64 and WiiWare games and saves. All the emulators work as they should, but for some reason, I can't manage to install my games to my NAND dump.

Partition U (formatted to WBFS) (158 GB): This partition is for all my Wii games which I play with USB Loader GX. This works perfectly without problems, even if the partition isn't set to Active.

Partition J (formatted to NTFS) (800 GB): This partition is for my PC; Back-ups, extra storage etc. This also works perfectly without problems.

I first tried using the application that is given in this thread. I can get my NAND dump and WiiWare/N64 games to show up, but for some reason, I can't get into the 'Tools' section to create a 'common.bin' file.

After that, I tried WAD2NAND. This one requires a batch file, and I've tried to make a batch file with the Command Prompt, but my batch file doesn't work with WAD2NAND, even after creating my batch file over and over again.

Then, I found out that with WAD Manager 1.5 or higher (currently using 1.7), you can just install them the easy way. I set NAND Emulation Device to 'USB 2.0 Mass Storage Device,' select 'USB 2.0 Mass Storage Device' as source, and locate my WAD folder. I choose to install 'Majora's Mask.wad,' or any other game, but then it shows me this:

    [+] Installing WAD, please wait...
    >> Installing ticket... ERROR! (ret = 1)

I also tried to put the game/WAD on my SD Card (SanDisk, 128 MB) in the WAD folder, switch the NAND Emulation to 'USB 2.0 Mass Storage Device' and source device to 'Wii SD Slot,' but this gives me the same error. At last, I tried installing my games with WAD Manager 1.5 and 1.6, but still no luck...

If somebody could help me to get one of these three methods to work, I would really appreciate it! I just want to use my 4 GB SD Card for my DSi again. Also don't want to spend my money on a new SD Card, if I can do it this way. Yes, I know they are only like 10 Euros/12 Dollars, but why not try to get Triiforce to work?

    Thanks,
    TheBandicootAddict

    UPDATE:

I tried it with my 4 GB SD Card, but still no luck. It actually is installing the content, but at the end it says:

    [+] Installing WAD, please wait...
    >> Finishing installation... ERROR! (ret = 1017)

I thought if I dump my NAND to my SD Card, install the games to my NAND dump, and then copy the NAND dump to my HDD, would be a method for me to do it. Sadly enough, I fail... again...

    Thumbs up Tested and working

I followed this guide exactly, and I am very, very happy with the result. Wii locking up upon exit, but I see there is a solution a few posts up - so YIPPEE!

    +rep

many thanx for a fine guide!!!

EDIT: Doing a FULL reset upon exit, which is fine by me, as the lockup meant walking over to the machine every time to hard-reset it.

Could this possibly be the reason why my 4.2E Wii locks up when accessing front SD Card Channels?

Onboard NAND is fine, but NAND Channels wants to run boot.dol (hackmii) every time, and I cannot remove it (I tried with AnyTitleDeleterMod v6) and it locks up even FASTER than before. I would be interested to know exactly what 000000002.tik actually is ?!

EDIT: If I remove the offending package (which in my case was a non-working WAD of an NTSC game), I can access the SD Card perfectly ONCE ONLY!. It is OK now, as I have managed to WAD compress the 3 games I purchased, and back them up. I could also copy them off my master NAND backup, then copy them to SD Card, but this lockup is a bit worrying, but in no way a showstopper!
