problems are more understandable for an NTSC game; not all out-of-region games can be played flawlessly-you can check for the effects of changing the loader's region/video settings.
Yes that's right, an internal HDD in an enclosure.
    The games were downloaded ISO's.

Just for a test, I've burnt Mario Kart and Wii Fit Plus to DVD and both played without problems. Which I was surprised about.
I'll either burn all my games to disk or try a different HDD.

    Thanks for your help.

Sorry to bother you, but I have read up and down these tutorials and have found little info for mac users. How can I format my HDD with a mac? You cannot run .exe files.

There is a WBFS Manager for the Mac OS: WBFS for MacOS X v1.2.zip

    Useing GX Loader
No USB found do you want ot retry

@BigJack-you definitely skipped a step somewhere-you drive is not formatted, go through the tutorial text again. It does take a sometime to format almost 500GB.

@Laski-if you did all the previous steps correctly, maybe the problem is not loading the USB drive in the USB Loader GX menu screen. If you did ask it to load the USB drive, then you also missed some step in setting up the HDD-read the text closely-don;t just go by the pretty pictures

@dws-If your windows partition is already formatted and can be used by your PC, then nothing else need be done to it. If you want it to be used by the Wii, then format and size depends on what you plan for it.

dws72- Disk management console within windows. >>

Click Start, click Run, type compmgmt.msc, and then click OK.

You will see the WBFS partition as a RAW data volume, the options will appear when you right click, or, at least they should.
Not really doing much Wii stuff these days.

You can use Windows Disk Mgt just as instructed in this guide-when the partitions show up on the lower screen-right click on the WBFS partition and the popup menu will have a choice to make it active. Only one partition takes the designation as active so the designation as primary should just go along with the active flag.

EDIT-Thank you Tealc. Yes, what he said.
