@janangel- to play DVD movies you need DVDx installed via the hackmii installer and MPlayer CE 0.75. You might also need IOS202. Go here: http://www.wiihacks.com/homebrew/200...r-ce-dvdx.html.

EDIT-I see you placed multiple posts on your DVD movie problem in multiple Forums. I hope you will see why this is discussed in the rules of this site. At least three people have worked separately on your problem. Cross-referring and overlapping on solutions. You are being sent to the RR for a few days. Please read the site rules, guides, and tutorials.

    Black Screen

I've been searching the many pages of this thread and can't find my answer. I just got a new Wii for Christmas. My girls idiot kid sold my older Wii that I softmodded to play backups no prob. So I am fairly competent in what I'm doing. I followed the instructions to the letter to mod my 4.0U. Everything worked but I can't play my old backups or new backups I've made. I use imgburn w/ verbatim dvd-r at 4x. I've tried the back up channel and the disk loader channel that came with the download. All I get is a black screen. Same happens if I try USB loader. When I unplug my Wii and turn it back on it doesn't turn on the first time I hit power. The drive spins then turns off. Then on the second turn on it works. I've tried to be as descriptive as possible. I've tried searching through the 900 pages so I'm sorry if this has been addressed.

Do the loader bootup or are they unable to do so-not the game discs, the loaders, themselves. If neither NeoGamma not a USB Loader boot up, you did not complete Step 3 of the 3.1-4.1 softmod tutorial successfully.

The power up issue may be related to priiloader. I suggest you go back, re-do Step 3, reinstall your system menu-this will overwrite priiloader, then reinstall priiloader.

    Works great!!

Thanks. Great step by step. I did everything as detailed and I'm now playing games from an old Hitachi 80GB laptop drive in a cheap Chinese drive housing through the Wii USB port. Works well with both Neogamma and USB Loader GX.

    Thanks a bunch!

Thanks for the reply. I've no idea what's going wrong, I've tried different SD cards, formatted them with the tool suggested in the 4.2 mod guide. Placed the WAD in both the root of the SD card and in the 'WAD' folder. I still keep getting the error.

EDIT: All sorted now, used the above download to install the forwarder wad via wad manager.
