I have tried that, but my wii wont read the discs either... I think i must have that new chip that wont allow reading of DVDRs... unless im just retarded, and messed something else up...

I uninstalled the channel wad through manager, then I exit to main menu. Reboot. Go through hbc, click iso loader.....it waits for my slow device (24s) and flashes a hideous green box over the bottom screen/waiting notice, then pauses and dumps me back at the main screen.

I had this problem on my friends new Wii with firmware 4.1u. Just installed the forwarder .wad and now everything is working 100%!

i've just tried Mes3's approach as well, despite my having 4.0u, but no-go....still black screen. I'm thinking it has something to do with the drive being read? Perhaps I should've let wii format it instead of the wbfs manager?

Now I'm thinking 2 things...either I try another loader (cfg or waninkoko if I can find it) OR do I need to maybe install the Hermes wad? I mean, I ran the whole softmod from Dogeggs with all the ISO wads in that....

    Ca

thank you so much - the only issue i had (i'm using a fairly old 160gig samsung IDE harddrive) was that when I set the hard drive as Active, WBFS gave me an error when i tried to format it, so i *didn't* set the drive as active (but did everything else the instructions said) and it formatted it fine. I got the "error 002" error, but changed the preferences to patch that particular error and everything works SO perfectly.

It's so handy to have all my games all in one place and not have to worry about digging through piles of stuff to find them.

    thanks again.

Problem with ISO files and not rips

    So,

I've got my 4.2U wii softmodded by following the tutorial word for word. Everything is working as it is supposed to.

I have ripped half of my game collection onto a WD My Book 1TB drive, and am able to play all of them without any hiccups.

My issue is with ISO files that I download and transfer using WBFS Manager. They appear in USB Loader GX, but when I start, it goes to a black screen and then back to the system menu.

    Anyone else have this problem?

What games in particular? Could coincedently be the individual games.

Muramasa, and Pikmin 2. I am downloading Wario Land Shake It tonight, and I will try it tomorrow morning and see how that goes.
