THANKS! You are always great with your answers. I _JUST_ figured out the Hermes thing while Googling about my Mario Galaxy problem.

It's the only game so far that I can't use the USB GX thingy to copy it to my hard drive.

Any suggestions on that. As I said in the cross-post, I simply don't know where to begin to diagnose something like this, especially since I'm backing up from an original...and all the others work so far.

Does Galaxy have some weird requirement?

Seeing as how it's from 2007? seems weird that it would...

I don't want to brick them and they aren't even noobs yet.
When the ISO is added to the WBFS-formatted HDD using WBFS Manager, the extraneous junk bits used to create an ISO of 4.37GB are not copied; the update partition data are also not copied to the WBFS-formatted HDD.

I'm not sure if I was clear on my question. I was only refering to games dumped by the wii itself not using a pc. But considering how amazing wbfs manager is i would not be even slightly surprised if it handles the updates automatically.

    Hi

Not 100% where do post this.

I used WBFS Manager to copy my wii games to my harddrive, a WD Essential 1.5tb and I started with new super mario bros, silent hill and avatar just to see if it works. After that I plugged it back into the wii and started wiiflow and I could see the games there but when I tried to start one of them it just took me back to the wii menu. So I tried to install super paper mario from a cd instead, after the install I ejected the cd and went to the game menu or w/e you want to call it and tried to launch it and that worked without any problem.

Any idea on how I can get the other games to work?

Edit: Just fyi I have wiiflow on the sdcard and not on the hdd.

Partition your drive to less than 1TB and you'll be fine. I know that USB Loader GX cannot work with partitions larger than 1TB, so I can only assume this could be your problem too.
