So far I've just rented some games and used WBFS to copy them and no problems at all, although I've just done some smoke tests and not played one deeply yet.

So my initial reaction is I either somehow have this magically or it's not required....

no I'm sure it's compatible, it's listed on that list in the tut(you could click on a link). And it worked fine before. I think it has something to do with the WBFS manager. Is there maybe an other program or a previous verison that may work? or could I also just copy that on the hdd without a special program?

btw I have a iomega Prestige Hard Drive 500GB

    NEVER MIND It works again

I have a 1.5TB drive i've loaded some games onto.. and assumed it would work. I normally run a 1TB drive, so I just tested the 1.5tb and no game worked.

Glad you mentioned it. I'll just partition it and split it up. Thanks.

So the update is removed or just blocked? I have extracted a few isos from wbfs and checked them for updates and saw a few out of roughly 150 games. Most were from selfpatched dvdr but I must have missed a few. Just wanted to know I'll be doing a friends in a few days, and was wondering if they would run into problems dumping their own games. I don't want to brick them and they aren't even noobs yet.

Can I extract a Wii ISO from my pc?

Can I copy a game from my pc to my WBFS usb drive? What program would I need to do this?

    Thanks,
    Rob

    WBFS and Mario Galaxy...

Since this guide helped me a ton and up until now I have had no problems, maybe someone can help me with Super Mario Galaxy.

I don't want to cross-post but seems tons of great help in this thread to so if someone can take a peek, I'd be GRATEFUL!

I thought you were asking for the Hermes IOS, not asking if it was required. If you play the musical instrument games then, yes you will eventually need to install Hermes IOS222/223. If you have no interest in the games that play USB musical instruments, then you do not need this right now.
