Ca Copying all the games from one HD to a new One

    Hello
This might be a stupid question but I have just got my Wii softmodded to play games via an external HD. I was just wondering how I can make a copy of this hard drive which has 425 games so that if my first one goes down I have a backup.

This was done by someone who has left so I dont know if it is a simple "copy all the files from this current HD to a fresh new one'.

    Thanks

Backing up the HDD to another is covered as the first topic under the Optional Section in the guide.

Working under the presumption that your HDDs are comaptible with the Wii, here are a couple of things to try:

Try different revisions of USB Loader GX-try revs 916, 921, or 938. Try 921 first. You can try another USB Loader; links are provided a the end of the guide.

Also, the other WBFS file managers start with the same core programming code as WBFS Manager, but all then make changes such that occasionally files or the HDD is not recognized or managed. The variants are not consistently compatible. You might want to reformat those HDDs with WBFS Manager rather than with a WBFS file manager variant.

thank you for your help, it turned out that the USB-IDE device i am using might have a problem, when i changed it the loader worked fine.

still though some times the game loading get stuck but i think this is because of the HDD, when reloading it usually work.

P.S. you did not post the links to previous USB loader GX rev.! Thanks

Yes, most, but not all, out-of-region games can be played. The first setting to try is the FORCE Video setting-change the setting to either Console or to PAL. That forces the video output from the NTSC game to PAL. That works for many games. Other settings and combinations to try are to play with the PATCH Video and VidTV setting.

I know that i have troubled you with silly questions but hope that you answer my final problem.

After returning to wii menu from a usb loader loaded game the conslo some times hang or some times when trying to load the usb loader gx again without restarting the conslo it fails.

Any idea about the problem?or is there a setting i have to make?
