I do have this question, do I suppose to keep that SD Card, with the apps on it, in the Wii Slot? When I remove the SD Card, my "game cover art" don't show up. I try to download the "game cover art", without the SD Cover but I'm not allow without the SD/Card. Is this the proper process?
You can keep the cover art either on the SD card, in which case, yes the SD card must be resident in the SD slot. You could also keep the cover art on a FAT partition of the SD card-change the path within the loader settings if you choose to do this. You can also keep Homebrew apps on the FAT partition of the USB HDD_maintain the same SD card file structure so that Homebrew will recognize your files. ie. Apps, Wad, etc folders look just the same on the FAT partition as they would on the SD card.

    Edit:

I have Philips 400gb Harddisk, When I go to Device Manager and look for my device's id, I have this:
    (Turkish XP)

I think my device's ID is: 083a, brand code is: 0471
But in this (USB Devices Compatibility List - WikiTemp) page I can't find any device's with the id 083a. How can I learn my device's compability?
No need to look using the device ID-look for Philips 400GB HDD

but it says it's for "softmodding" does this matter???

i have a Maxtor basics 250g external hard drive totally formatted using software advised in guides (although not created a partition) ....
successfully installed 2 wii iso's, from my pc

i have also installed "usb loader" onto the SD card and HBC recognises it and starts up,

HERE IS WERE THE PROBLEM IS

when i click on load (using the wii remote) a loading bar quickly fills then the screen goes black, both wii and hard drive are still on,,,,,

any help would be greatly appreciated as i am losing valuable Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 time on XBox live.....
If both the loader and HDD are on and you see a frozen black screen, maybe an IOS needed by the game has not been installed or the game might need a few tweaks. Look here to see if the game is on this list:http://www.wiihacks.com/recommended-...use-run-4.html . Also run a search for your game as most popular games that require tweaking have posts, threads, and even sometimes a tutorial.

By blocking, I take it you mean that the installer will not run when selected from the Homebrew menu. Is there an error message? Do all apps fail to run from HBC or just these?

Did NeoGamma install OK-that's a quick way to see if cIOS installed correctly-start NeoGamma and you should see IOS249rev something read out on the screen and that will show if cIOS is installed.

Have you plugged your USB HDD into the outermost USB port (the left or bottom port depending on the Wii position). If so, try plugging in the HDD after it has powered up. The timing of the powerup and initiation cycles of the Wii and USB HDD are not meshing well together. I presume your HDD is known to be compatible?

not really sure. i went right from ntsf to wbfs. you have to use his program to format to wbfs though. all i know, i couldn't get it to work before, and now it works perfectly. Here's a quote from the site.
"Transfer Games WBFS to WBFS on the fly
By using a WBFS drive on both side, you'll be able to copy games from one to the other. Since V14 drive with different block size are supported.

    Here's another.
If you have problem with a WBFS partition bigger than 1 TeraByte and you initialized your drive with WBFS Manager by AlexDP, you will have to start over.

    Hope this helps.

gen3sf, done what you stated well maybe i will just try it out with another hdd then oh and by the way what does the phrase 'waiting for your slow usb device' mean? does it not detect my hdd? and is it normal for it to go back to the wii menu if it does not detect my hdd?
