Wanna give it a go but I have a couple of concerns first....

Many thanks for this amazing tutorial. After reading over a few times I think I wanna give this a go. I have a couple of concerns first.
I'm still on 3.2 but have been updating cios and ios to the point where I'm running all the newer games from disc, Sports Resort, GH5, Band Hero et al through either NeoGamma or Softchip . I've also recently installed cfg usbloader via wad on SD and decided to use WBFS Manager 3.0 to format an 8G usb stick and currently have NSMBW and the new REDC running perfectly on it. Now I wanna up that and pick up an HDD. The Western Digital My Book Essential WDBAAF5000EBK-NESN (500Gb) was the one I have in mind. What I would like to know is can I format using this guide and run games while still being on system menu 3.2. Everything is running smoothly so would prefer to stay and not upgrade to 4.1 however I read that you may have to. I also don't have wifi so upgrading is not a preferable option. I also wanna know if I could transfer my disc backups to the HDD from the wii itself.
I apologize for the lengthy post but thanks in advance for any input on these concerns and welcome any other suggestions.

No need to update from 3.2 as your post indicated you have been keeping up on the needed IOSes and updating your cIOS. I am also on 3.2 and running of a 1TB WD HDD.

You should be able to use the DVD backup discs and rip directly to the USB HDD as described in the tutorial. Also no need to change from your preferred USB loader-stay with cfg USB Loader rather than the USB Loader GX described in the tutorial as you already know how to use it.

Most installers are apps, just like you used in the softmod process. App folders go into the App folder and .dol files not already renamed as boot.dol should be. Any wad files you wish to install, copy to the Wad folder and use Wad Manager to install. These steps are not covered in this tutorial as a softmod is required prior to this tutorial.

Any other problems, please provide sufficient data to ID problem source and any error messages.
    Hey again,

I download the usb loader.rar and inside it has the folder for the PC and SD Card. I figure out the PC Folder and succesfully converted my harddrive for the Wii games. Now, I have the SD Card Folder and I moved the apps to the SD CARD but I don't know what to do with these three apps, inside that folder: CIOS 222 INSTALLER V4, CIOS38R14 INSTALLER, AND USB LOADER GX.

I don't have a clue, of which one to load first or the complete step by step. I did search this site, google and even Youtube. Youtube do have videos about the USB Loader GX but no complete steps to install all three.

This is my last process and I'll be finish. I just don't want to mess-up and I'm very close to wrapping up this process. Also, remember I successfully completed the softmod yesterday.

The cIOS38rev14 installer is probably left over from your softmod? You have already installed that. There is no specific sequence order for you to install the HermesIOSv4 or USBGX.

The cIOS38rev14 installer file was inside the rar file also. I guess they place this file in, when they did the update...that why I was confuse. I had already started to play around with the files I mention because it's getting later in Chicago and I didn't want to stay up until 3:30am again. I did load the files I mention.

I do have this question, do I suppose to keep that SD Card, with the apps on it, in the Wii Slot? When I remove the SD Card, my "game cover art" don't show up. I try to download the "game cover art", without the SD Cover but I'm not allow without the SD/Card. Is this the proper process?

@Sanora-hi-can you try the link again, please. It is just the same URL as from dogeggs' Optional section of the softmod tutorial. I just check and it was fine-please try it again.

    It worked ass hell. Thanks

    Edit:

I have Philips 400gb Harddisk, When I go to Device Manager and look for my device's id, I have this:
    (Turkish XP)

I think my device's ID is: 083a, brand code is: 0471
But in this (http://wiki.gbatemp.net/wiki/index.p...atibility_List) page I can't find any device's with the id 083a. How can I learn my device's compability?

Wiikey2 and usb loader gx issue

i have my daughters Wii (4.2) and hard modded with wii key 2, i have successfully installed HBC (via SD card) following really helpful guides and info from WiiHacks members..(THANKS)

i have followed this really useful link http://www.wiihacks.com/recommended-...s-usb-hdd.html
but it says it's for "softmodding" does this matter???

i have a Maxtor basics 250g external hard drive totally formatted using software advised in guides (although not created a partition) ....
successfully installed 2 wii iso's, from my pc

i have also installed "usb loader" onto the SD card and HBC recognises it and starts up,

HERE IS WERE THE PROBLEM IS

when i click on load (using the wii remote) a loading bar quickly fills then the screen goes black, both wii and hard drive are still on,,,,,

any help would be greatly appreciated as i am losing valuable Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 time on XBox live.....
