Sorry for asking what might be dumb questions.
Yes but they are not required if you are just going to run the .dol.

SD:\apps\WiiShop and IOS61 Installer\boot.dol is the important one.

    Brilliant, thanks very much.
I'm on 4.1e firmware, I had previously installed patched ios60 in order to update from 3.4 to my present 4.1. Followed the guide using homebrew channel to load the shop channel installer, which inturn loaded ios61 followed by the latest shop channel. Once the shop channel was installed, I was then able to download and instal BBCi player. Once again, many thanks

hello folks, I've been trying to install the shopping channel as outlined in the first post through the HB channel but my installation keeps hanging at 'initializing network' I'm online through homeplugs and the internet channel works fine. My wii is on 4.1e and everything works as it should. I've no idea why it keeps hanging- any ideas or ways around it? Cheers

You can try redoing it, sometimes takes a few attempts.
Could still be your internet connection,
This installer is the easiest, but you could try the two wads, IOS61 and the shop channel, no connection required.

but what then is the use of having the shop channel without an internet connection

    Not a lot.
But if you want to install it, and you have no or a bad connection at the time you can do it by wad.
When installing online the connection is more critical, when browsing with opera or shop channel its not so critical.
    Hope that makes sense.
