Hmmm, neither Messie's guide or this one helps me. Each time I try and load bootmi from Homebrew Channel, my disc slot just flashes and nothing happens, screen goes black and I have to hold down the power button to turn it back on. Any ideas?

Download LoadMii from the Homebrew Browser

This was a good guide for n00bs.

    Things to note:

Team Twizzers findings on the dummy IOS slots and an updated HBC is pretty much the key.

If done properly all the usual tools required for a full cios hack work, you simply need to delete the dummy channels (mind you, make a mistake doing this and bye bye wii).

I was surprised how little the differences were. After running the full hack on a 4.2e (Australian Unit) I see no disadvantages to 4.2 over 4.1 as far as homebrew and loaders are concerned.

I noticed you edited the OP 2 days ago. The original method worked for me. This new method breaks in the first step. Trucha bug restorer says I need an upgraded downgrader.
