Oh mi gosh. I can't believe how bad textedit is. Somehow apple found a way to surpass notepad.

Do you know how to use vi or emacs from the Terminal app?

And google for notepad for the mac. There's something out there and it may even be free to download.

First make sure you set autoboot to system menu in the priiloader settings.

Re-read the priiloader part of the tutorial carefully. Make sure you left nothing out and everything presented itself to you as described.

If you still can't get back the wii system menu then you'll have to do what I did. Look at my first post in this thread.

    Step 2, Part A & B - ISO15

"Step 2 - Restoring The Bug Into IOS36

    a) After installing Homebrew Channel, Rename the tbrboot.dol on your sd card to boot.dol and load the Homebrew Channel and press home and load bootmii, this will load Trucha Bug Restorer, press B to choose No IOS Reload. Go to Downgrade IOS15 and press A to downgrade. Everytime it says "Load IOS from SD Card" press A on the wiimote."

    - I complete this and return back to main menu
    - I continue Part B by clicking homebrew channel
    - I click home button and Launch Bootmii once more
    - It loads up as Iso36 -- NOT: Iso15 ...

Problem? I reeeeaaallly don't want to brick my Wii!!!! Sadly its 4.2U, recently got during holiday season.

    HELP!

you should be able to use the arrows to go left or right and scroll through numbers. i think you need to do it before you hit B, also. it could be the other way around though. i got stuck there too, just takes some experimenting.

emacs is the best text editor for programming ever written IMHO but it requires climbing a bit of a learning curve. It can do this hacks.ini no problem.

vi is a distant second as text editors go (again IMO) but a lot of people prefer it.

Both emacs and vi should be on your mac. If not then maybe the XCODE package is needed.

Go the "notepad for mac" route. It does exist.

i mean if you can give me just a step by step tutorial on how to do it/what to do, i might be able to do it. but i'll just find a notepad for mac if its easier.
