Looks right. But it depends on your region. Mine is USA. You should have a different file if you're in a different locale.

and yes it should be in the root directory of the sd card.

well here's what happened. first of all, here's what i was trying to do: "Then re-install priiloader. Do all the settings as described in the original tutorial and it should all work as advertised."

i put in the SD card and booted up the wii, and it took me to that white priiloader menu again (even though it had been booting to the original system menu after the first few steps). i tried to get to the system menu hacks page, still couldn't find hacks.ini. so i went to homebrew, then to priiloader, pressed + to install, then went back to homebrew, quit to system menu, and it took me to the original system menu.. not priiloader. now i cannot get to the white priiloader screen. is that good orrrr...? i'm guessing not because i still haven't gotten into the system menu hacks thing.

Try holding reset while booting up your wii. That is suppose to load up Priiloader.

This is getting kind of awkward. Maybe we should do this over IRC???

What is the IRC channel for us Wii softmod noobs??

As for your questions... I have a feeling you might not have saved the hacks.ini file correctly. Maybe it's on your SD card as hacks.ini.txt ???

To get priiloader properly you have to shutdown (get the red dot) then hold down reset as you press the power on button - that's the right way to get the priiloader menu.

yes, it's definitely something to do with the hacks.ini file.

i saved it as hacks.ini, put it on the sd card root and thats it. i'll try it again and see what happens.

edit: putting the codes in textedit... i could only save it as RTF or Word documents, etc... i'll have to do what i did last time (i'm guessing), put it into word and save as a plain .txt file.

    System menu

I have the opposite problem of saucy, I cannot get back to my regular wii system menu. The wii seems to be working fine but is is rather hard for the kids to manipulate threw hbc to play a game. I am new to this so maybe this is the way the menu will be but I hope not. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
