If you do it like this you don't need to remove any stubs they will be overwritten with the correct cIOS. The only reason this doesn't work in the guide now is because MMM is auto loading an IOS that fails to overwrite the stubs. If you change it to 236 this won't happen.
Thank you guys, I am quite enjoying this. I feel quite proud of myself that I figured out what was going on with the blank stubbs, It just goes to show that you can indeed show an old dog new tricks

Krank is right. I figured out that one too, loaded IOS36 (don't ask me why) and it worked. Same thing I had to do for Step 5. Yet, the USB CFG Loader from the Wii Menu wasn't running and the tutorial doesn't say anything about preparing your SD card with apps. I used my SD card from another Wii and at least I noticed that one was working.

It works because you need an IOS with the trucha bug to install custom content. In the case of overwriting the stubs it works because MMM v13.4 installs IOS36/236 with an extra version patch that allows you to overwrite Stubs or IOS with a higher revision number. Are you saying this guide installs a forwarder but doesn't give you the needed files for Cfg? If so you can get them from the Cfg install guide in my signature (not the Cfg channels guide).
    Damn I suck!!!!

    Hi Krank,

Just want to make sure I understand your post fully before I begin, are you talking about using IOS236 in Chapter 1, step 5 "Installing cIOS and Channels"

    Regards

    Richard

Then you didn't load IOS236 like you were supposed to. If it doesn't work with 236 then you didn't install it like the guide says.
    Damn I suck!!!!
