Step 7 issues
So, I should start by saying, this is both my first time modding, and also posting. But I also tried to follow the rules and search around for similar issues/fixes before I asked.
I am having trouble with this:
Step 7 - Installing Priiloader (Brick Protection and System Hacks)
Before continuing, download your hacks.ini file from here, unzip it and place the hacks.ini onto the root of your SD Card.
a) Load Homebrew Channel and run Priiloader v0.6 installer.
b) Press + on the wiimote to install.
c) Your wii should reboot into Priiloader after the installation (If it doesn't, power off your Wii and hold reset on the console while turning it on). Go to System Menu Hacks and enable 'Block Disc Updates' and any other hacks you would like, select 'Save Settings' when finish. Press B on the wiimote to go back to the main menu, next go to Settings and use the d-pad to set Autoboot: System Menu. Then select Save Settings. Press B to go back to the main menu. If you get any problems, look here
d) In the main menu, select homebrew channel to load the homebrew channel and proceed with Step 8.
Now Mind you that I am using a Pentax K7 camera to communicate between computer and SD card. When I got to step 7 initially, the camera would no longer recognize the SD and connect me to the PC. So I had the idea of starting over with a fresh card, adding all the files mentioned above, plus the hacks.ini file mentioned in Step 7.
I followed the procedure and tried to open up the System Menu Hacks selection, but I receive an error message saying that "Hacks_Hash.ini cannot be found." I tried renaming the hacks file to hacks_hash and same thing but a syntax error code above the aforementioned code.
I'm wondering could this issue be happening because I am on a SD card with those fresh files from the beginning (i'm not sure if running through steps 1-6 modded any information on the SD card, or if it would even matter regarding this step). Or if I am just missing something that is a more common issue with Priiloader and the hacks.ini file?

Step 2 - Backup Your Wii's NAND
If you were to ever brick, just copy the bootmii folder and 'NAND.bin' from your PC onto the root of your SD Card. Then repeat parts a, b & c but this time selecting the icon that points to the chip. While bootmii/boot2 can save you from full bricks, bootmii/IOS cannot! It is not recommended to use bootmii as an IOS to restore your NAND!
i am unable to in stall bootmii / boot 2.
so what would i do in the event of a brick?
have followed these steps to back up my NAND to my pc.

HELP. Stuck at level 6-b
("b= Load up homebrew channel once more, then load up WAD Manager. Load IOS249, SD Slot and NAND Emulation: Disabled, navigate to the wad folder, highlight IOS60patched.wad and press A. Make sure action is set to install and Install the wad. After a successful install, Press Home to go back to homebrew channel.
NOTE: Users changed who had a Korean Wii region changed to a USA/Eur/Jap Wii, Do NOT Install iOS70patched! Skip below step of c.
c= Do the same for IOS70patched.wad. Make Sure the action is Set to INSTALL!")
Cant install ios60patched.wad or IOS70patched.wad

Thanks.. This tut worked great on a friends 4.2E Pal Wii without any errors or problems. I had only done my own 3.4 before which was easier but your guide was really helpful and got me through it fine. I have tried both backup discs and usb and both are running great. Thanks again

This isn't working for me.
This isn't working for my PAL 4.2e wii.
I have done everything and it won't load a DVD-R.
At Neogamma it gives me a error about unkown drive, report 20080714.
Any help would be appreciated.

Long needed update is finally here. cIOS installations are now completely offline! cIOS202,222,223,247 and 248 are now included (thanks mauifrog). Also, no longer uses USB Loader GX, now uses CFG USB Loader.

Still OK. Only thing that might want to change is the USB Loader. I think CFG (now included) is much better than USB Loader GX.
