Fortunately, that wasn't the System Menu IOS (IOS 70), and you reinstalled it immediately. Did you download the hacks that Shadow linked to?

That filename relates to Priiloader V0.6; did Shadow Sonic include that version, or an older version? Perhaps the file is misnamed and you should name it thus and retry.

    Cookieboy,
I am having the same issue on my 4.2U, I tried renaming the file (obvious answer) and got another error message. If anyone figures this out let me know. This community has been vital to my wiihacking. Thanks to all who share info so freely, I will to search before posting problems, so far every issue I've encountered someone else has as well.

The result is so worth it though.

Is this SD card supposed to just stay in the Wii all the time ? Seems like only stuff in Homebrew ( was it called that ? ) needs it .

So now with Homebrew and USB Loader are there any best practices , i.e exit from USB Loader to Wii menu before shutting down the console.

Do not remove the SD while in USB loader ?
the card doesnt NEED to be in there at all times, but its recommended that you keep it in there. settings are saved to it, as well as cover art.

Is it supported to install any cIOS250 version besides the ones that were installed in this guide ?
you can use either the version thats supplied in this guide or a newer revision. older revisions may cause compatibility issues, but a newer version shouldnt.

not specifically 250, but i had an issue with 249 and had to try many revisions before i found one i was happy with.

rev 17 sounds like a good place to start. if that doesnt do the trick, install rev 19 (19 will overwrite 17, you dont have to uninstall it)

ShadowSonic2 updated the priiloader to v0.6.
so now he has to update the hacks.ini file to hack_hash.ini or downgrade the priiloader version.
    plz somenone inform him
(to do it yourself just go here: http://priiloader.googlecode.com/svn/trunk/priiloader/hacks_hash.ini and save the page as text document.then place the saved file to your sd and you are ready to go as the guide says)
actually, you want to leave it as a .ini file. renaming it to (or saving it as a) .txt will probably cause issues with priiloader finding it.

3 partitions on a single drive? first, is your game partition set as active? second, have you tried using the hard drive for the wii only, as in have you formatted the entire thing JUST for the wii? does the issue persist then?

To be honest, 2 partitions can be tricky.. 3, from a tech stand point, i do not recommend for a wii. it will work in windows sure, but id try and limit it to 2 or less for the wii. in conclusion, try formatting the drive to one big partition, load the iso's you created, see if you have the same issue. if not, the multiple partitions was your problem. if the issue persists, you may have a corrupted USB loader installation or corrupted game (which can tie in with the multiple partition thing you have going on)
