Well if that's the case, I should probably see if I did the previous DOP-Mii step right? What's the best way of seeing if that's correct?

You must redo the step: "Step 5 - Installing cIOS249-rev17"
In the end of the installation you will have "successful installation" and wait til you have a restart of your Wii.

Now when I launch it my tv screen goes black and my wii starts to flash blue. I tried 4 different SD Cards!!!!! And it's the same effect every time! I have formatted the cards with the sd tool mentioned somewhere, formatted fat 16 & 32 and it's the same thing! And I can't find a single post what that flashing means, or what am I doing wrong. I've got cards that supposedly are compatible with wii. I already installed HBR, but can't back up NAND, could that still mean my Wii is unhackable?
Check out Section 3 of This Guide.

@Mattkaz -- Just repeat step 3, 4, and 5 if you are unsure you did them correctly. It won't hurt anything. Pay attention this time making sure you read and follow the steps.
    Damn I suck!!!!

Okay, I went all the way back to step 3. It says "Downgrading IOS15 to v257" and I selected Load WAD from SD Card because I keep getting connect errors when I do the other way. The first line when I hit A says "ERROR! Could not open file: sd:/wad/IOS15-64-v257.wad"... then the rest says Done, and at the bottom it says Installation Completed. Does that mean Step 3 didn't work?

[QUOTE=Krank;398900]Check out Section 3 of This Guide.

OMG it never occured to me that hackmii is a PC executable not wii files ready to go!!!!! Thx for the replay Krank

EDIT: Maybe I jumped ahead of myself here. There is some pc executable but it does nothing.
I just read read.me file and still don't understand how I create those 3 bootmii files in the root. They're not present in the zip file and I don't understand how are they supposed to be created? Through wii or I run that executable? I just don't get it.
I swear I had easier time with jtag on xbox360 than this bootmii stuff.

EDIT2: Nevermind I just figured out. I must've skiped prepare SD card in one of the tutorials, I started with some other tut. Thx for reading my gibberish

It means step 3 worked. Don't worry about that error, it just means it didn't find the file in the first place it looked so it looked somewhere else and found it. Move on to step 4.

@gr0bda -- Hackmii is not a PC exe. Not sure what you mean.

    Okay, so in step 5...

I do everything the instructions say to do. I opt for the WAD install... It then says:

    Mounting device, please wait... OK!
    Reading "IOS38-64-v.3867.wad", please wait...
    ERROR! (ret - -1)

    Press any button to restart....

What's going on here? Sorry if these are simple questions, but again, i have no idea what I'm doing haha.

Look back about 4 or 5 posts for my post that I linked IOS38-64-v.3867.wad.

Download it and copy it to the root of your SD card. Then do step 5 and it will work.

Click thanks if someone helps you, only takes a second.

I'm not seeing this link you speak of. Maybe I'm missing it somewhere?

I appreciate your help Krank. Also, thanks for the heads up. As you can see, I'm new here, so the customs are beyond me! I'll be sure to use the Thanks button from here on!
