Hey, so this seems like the best guide. [This guide seems more thorough and more complete for Softmodding the Wii =)]

I kinda followed some other guide but want to start from scratch with this one.

So I've already installed Homebrew channel, Bootmii (bannerbomb), made a NAND backup, restored the trucha bug, deleted stub IOS's, installed CIOS and patched system menu IOS.

How would I go about deleting everything safely and starting afresh with this guide?

    Thanks heaps.

    @Floydlove

You don't need to delete anything. You can just follow this guide as is. (skip Step 4 -- Delete IOS stubs)
    Damn I suck!!!!

You need to trucha sign ios 36
http://www.wiihacks.com/general-home...s36-guide.html Use this guide option 1

Try updating the cios to rev 17 although the one you have should work.

Install priloader and hermes cios v4 for ios 222 and 223 and v5 for ios 202

Did it, step 3 than 5, everything installed with no errors, but I still can't install Opera.
Here what I did in Wad Installer in more detail:
    - Use IOS 249
    - NAND Emulator Device = Disable
    - Source Device = Wii SD Slot (with a Sandisk SD 2Gb for Wii)
    - Select install and press A

I'm still getting the error -1035. What can be the problem?

EDIT: I Noticed a "Trucha Bug Restorer v1.12" in my SD card that I never used because it was not mentioned in the guide. I also never used "AnyTitleDeleterMOD" and "Hermes cIOS Installer". Don't know if this information may be related.

EDIT2: In other news, I was able to fix the freezing in MplayerCE by using version 0.76 instead. It seems version 0.75 has some freezing issues with SM4.2.

Load Dop Mii -- Select IOS36 in the first option (should be selected already and highlighted) -- Press A -- Select MIOS, BC, IOS -- Press A -- Use the d-pad to select IOS249 -- Press " - " (Minus) on the Wiimote to uninstall IOS249.

Do the same for IOS250. Don't delete ANY other IOS.

Run the cIOS38 Rev 17 Installer again. Use IOS36 for installation. (Step 5)

Followed your instructions to the letter. Everything installed fine. The problem persisted.
Tried making another copy of the wad with another name into the SD just to make sure that it wasn't a problem of bad clusters or something, and the installation failed with the same error.
Made a test with winrar to make sure that the file is not corrupted, but everything seems to be fine. My system is an american one and I'm using the NTSC-U version of Opera from the extras (Opera Internet Channel UPDATE v512 USA.wad).
Any other idea? (BTW, thanks for trying to help so far!)

Does it have anything to do with IOS202? I read in another guide that it should be deleted as well, but since it was not mentioned in this guide, I did nothing about it.

My unit doesn't have the Shop installed as well (because it required an update to 4.3), don't know if it has something to do with this.

Have you tried to use DOP-Mii to install Opera (Internet Channel), an online installation?
