    1)its updated
2)its not recommended but you never know smart people might figure something out in future so you can restore
    3)Yes...and Same thing
4)Yes you load it through homebrew
5)do not pull the plug....always give it 10-15 min before holding power for 5 sec to power off if its stuck.....if you receive and error look at the error index thread

Krank/cile, tks for the quick replies. Online install looks simpler (to me at least). All I have to do is to connect the Wii to my wirless router....nothing more...correct? "Download from NUS" as required in step 3 will then be automatic?

Will review the updated guide and revert if I have any questions before I start this mission...

    hello.

at first i had the " .wad " files in the root. i was doing step 3 and then error would come up. then i looks like it installed. is there suppose to be an error for the first line when installing step 3. it looks like it went through. but when i put the ".wad" files in the wad folder and tried it, it look like it installed without no errors.

and... come to think of it. i didnt delete the backup of 'bootmii' folder, the 'NAND.bin' file and 'key.bin' file.

is there anyway to go back because i put the wad files in the wad folder and did step 3? when i should have had the wad files on the root of sd card.

    thanks again,

    sunni

It doesn't matter if they are on the ROOT or in the WADS folder. Dop-mii will read from both.
    Damn I suck!!!!

if i did step 3 without removing the backup of 'bootmii' folder, the 'NAND.bin' file and 'key.bin' file. do you know how to correct this?
and also do you think thats the reason why i couldnt do step 5 and kept getting Error.... "IOS38-64-v3610.wad" please wait error ret = -1"

    thanks again

First question - No, this won't cause any issues ( Backup the bootmii folder and nand.bin and keys.bin to your PC for safekeeping)

Second - If it said it finished at the end and the installation worked then yes it could be because the cIOS installer will give you an error if it reads from the ROOT first and the wads aren't there. It will then try and read from the wads folder and if they are present then it will work. ( the order it reads from could be reversed, this is just an example)
