basically I've done EVERYTHING in the Sonic's instructions, and I expected it all to work but when I load USB loader or WIIflow Or Neogamma, the wii will not see the hard drive and I'll get the message asking to plug it in even though it is plugged in to the OUTER slot. I am hacking my cousin's wii,and Im using the same working hdd that I use in my 4.1 wii.

Also my wiimote cuts off when booting the backup loaders and the leds all flash when I press a button.

I dont know what went wrong so can I just REDO everything from step 3-8 to try and solve this problem??

Did you set your hard drive to primary and active?? If you did not get any errors while modding redoing the mod wont change anything. The correct usb slot to plug in external drives is the bottom slot when wii is laying flat, not sure what you mean by outer, but assuming you tried the other slot before posting.

"This is for people stuck on 4.2 with no cIOS. Make sure your sd card is formatted to FAT32 or FAT16 and your Wii is connected to the net through Wi-Fi (although it should be possible to do offline), then download this pack, Unzip the pack and place the files and folders onto the root of your sd card. Your sd card should like this:"

whats the password to the download pack? once i clicked on the "this pack" it brang me to the download pack page but it asked me for a passswork, can someone please tell me whats the passwork? thanks

You must be at least this literate to use this guide.

i am using the bottom usb slot laying down. the hddd works fine. its being used for another wii. its not the problem.

Symptom is when starting the backup loader programs usbloader gx or wiiflow, the wiimote cuts off and the loader cant find hdd.

Again, I dont know what went wrong so can I just REDO everything from step 3-8 to try and solve this problem??

The remotes do cut off a short time whilst loading into the usb loader and then come back on anyway.
Your sys check looks good, you have a cios, you have up to date ios's.....
I'm going with the hdd, have you tried what I suggested yesterday.

Thumbs up yes it works... :D nintendo wii 4.2U modified.

before i bought my US version wii fw 4.2U on the owner, she accidentally update the firmware so i need to do this by myself or it will cost 2k pesos for modification...
i give it a try and i saw that many people say this is 100% working...

so i tried it yesterday.. and now i can play legally owned backup games..
    and play .avi files... ^_^
i haven't tried USB loader coz i haven't USB HDD yet..

i did this for 1hour if u can get it fast w/o errors maybe 15-30mins u can done it...

    error while installing via wifi
i got error while installing some... slow connection on wifi might be the cause why u got error..
that's my theory, coz while im using Utorrent.. i got error.. when i turn-off the torrent.. then i got no error..

    BLACKSCREEN
if u got blankscreen.. just turn off ur wii then remove the SD card and then try it again where did u stop..

i got some guide if u don't the step 3 just like me...
here's some guide... i think this can help u..
    common sense.. ^_^
follow the step don't be curious on version he have...
just do the same.. double check the name you install and ios#

LINK TO FAILTUBE VIDEO REMOVED --- SORRY WE DON'T SUPPORT FAILTUBE

i hope you can understand my english...
don't be afraid on doing this.. just don't power-off your wii while installing..
if it got hang or freeze.. turn it off and remove the SD card then turn it on.. then continue where did you stop or click the link above.. ^_^
i hope you can get it.. its not so hard..
    step by step..
    read it carefully..

    for some add-ons...
    Player-dvd or music.
install it 1 by 1 thats what i did..
    and now working..

    Accidentally removed all stub IOS's

    Hi there,

I followed another guide and removed all stub IOS's in DOP-Mii. I read in this guide to not remove the others! I am now having issues with game freezes all the time. Does this make sense? Is there anything that I can do to reinstall those IOS's - can someone point me in the right direction? Thanks.

So you didn't have an issue with this guide? Maybe you should either ask the folks that made the other guide, or try to follow this one. Your question as it is now is off-topic since it has nothing to do with following this guide.
