    NAND Permissions patch

I'm having trouble getting the NAND Permissions Patch to download from the NUS. It gives me no option to install from SD, and all i get a connect error. Any ideas how to get around this?

u don't need a GC controller if everything went right . Try what Cile had suggested. If it worked then you dont need a GC controller.

Step three isnt really working for me, in the trucha bug loader and dop_mii, it says getting ios15 from revision 523, and it wont let me check off yes or no on the options listed in step 3. I went ahead and went to restore ios15 using ios36, hopefully this works.

    Thank you!

ShadowSonic2, I would just like to say thank you for a very clear and easy guide. I was able to successfully softmod my Wii with your instructions.

    Thanks again!

    Wii Firmware Question

Does this work on a Wii running FW version 4.2U? It said in the article that it works on all 4.2 system, but I do wish to make sure before I do mess up Wii. I tried searching with Live Search but I did not find anything, maybe I was doing something wrong.

    Thanks in advance.

It's called 'Softmod for ANY 4.2 Wii!' So if instructions are done properly, it will work.

would i be able to skip part 6b? My wiimote will never connect during that section no matter how many times I tried (gc controller and power buttons dont work). It worked during the other sections.Would skipping this part cause the mod to not work?

This is part 6b if you dont remember:
    b) Load up homebrew channel once more, then load up WAD once more, then load up WAD Manager. Load IOS249, SD Slot and NAND Emulation: Disabled, navigate to the wad folder, highlight IOS60patched.wad and press A. Make sure action is set to install and Install the wad. After a successful install, Press Home to go back to homebrew channel.
