There is a thanks button at the bottom of the posts, but unfortunately it doesn't show specific details about who thanked due to new server issues. Still it is a nice gesture.

Priiloader will block updates. Look for the priiloader thread, it will explain how to set up priiloader.

Nevermind, I found the link for you - http://www.wiihacks.com/recommended-...4-2u-4-2e.html

for step 8 - I'm on the homebrew channel. I load WAD manager i get options to select an IOS version <IOS249>.
How do i navigate to the wad folder? i think im missing something here.....thanks in advance for help!

    Step 8 - Backup Launchers

    a) Load WAD Manager from Homebrew Channel, navigate into the wad folder and highlight either USB_Loader_GX_r907.wad or Neogamma_r8b7.wad. (Neogamma for Disc loading and USB Loader for USB HDD loading.)

    b) Press A on the wiimote and set action to Install WAD. Give it time to install with no errors.

    c) Press Home on the wiimote to exit. You are all ready to enjoy your wii.
