I just installed the patched version. Hopefully I'll be able to install priiloader now. Is a newer version than the one thats in the pack recommended?

Ah, thanks Cile. I'm hoping this will work now. This is my 2nd wii, and it came with 4.2... the 3.1-4.1 hacking guide was much more less troublesome, but hopefully I'll get this figured out

That IOS60-64-v6174.wad file, when I found it said it was for v4.0 and 4.1. Will I be able to it it for a v4.2?

I better start reading again. I'm confused now.
In my head I had the tut sussed and thought I would have no problem. It's kind of thrown me.

@KBL what are you confused about
03-11-2010, 10:50 AM
When you mentioned 'downgrade' that confused me, as after reading up on stuff one of the things that stuck in my mind was not to downgrade a v4.2.
Also, I'm confused that the tut for softmoding a 4.2 doesn't include the necessary files in the download.
I'm also confused that xbox and psp softmods are all easily carried out using W2K, so why can't W2K be used to softmod a Wii.
I guess I'm just grumpy.

Updated the pack. Renamed the iOS60-60-v6174.wad to iOS60patched.wad. Also removed the wads for cIOS202, 222 and 223 since there is a sperate tutorial, the removal reduced the size of the pack Also updated DOP-iOS MOD v11 to DOP-Mii v12 and updated Priiloader.

so im confused. ive been having the problem in the b section of the messie tutorial. getting all 3 errors when trying to uninstall the ios249wad. have tried every ios to start. most freeze before it changes, but some have gotten me to the install-uninstall page. I read posts that im supposed to take some of shadows files and replace them with messie's. but nothing has seemed to work. is there a pack out there that will get my wadmanager to uninstall this io249. i dont wanna mix and match, just a file that will get this uninstalled. any help would be greatly appreciated. starting to frustrate me.
ive done this one 3 older wii's, which all uninstalled it no problem. the 2 i am doing now are newer, but easily still over a year old. help me!
