You may not have did the steps right then... Are you sure you installed cIOS38 right? No errors?

Probably a media error. Make sure you burnt a working .iso on DVD-R at low speeds. Verbatims are recommended

Just a question... Even though I got mine working again, I realized that I was able to skip an error that happened to me along the way. It was at the part of loading AnyTitleDeleter DB. I read the posts just now and saw a couple of people having the same problem. The error was something like this (taken from one of the posts):

    Initializing Filesystem driver...OK!
    Wiping off fingerprints...
    - deleting ticket file/ticket/00000001/0000000.tik...
ticket delete failed (no ticket?) -102
    - deleting ticket file/ticket/00000001/0000000...
    error! isfs_delete(ret = -102)

    Checking system region...

    pulling sysmenu tmd...error! isfs_op (ret = -102)
    reading tmd failed!
    error! es_opencontent (ret = -1017)
Except that the first line was something about "God" lol...

Anyway, an error like that happened when i loaded the application but I was still able to get pass through and skip a portion of Step 3 (where it says "Choose IOS36 and press A.") I didn't get to choose anything and it immediately step right to the part when I had to choose the System Titles and delete the 4 files.

So, my question is... will this affect anything towards my installation of future cIOS? Hopefully, it isn't too messed up.

k so im stuck on the very begining i used another tutorial 'full hacking guide for 4.2 system menus' and it told me to come here if part of it didnt work so i came here and i copied the file to sd but when i load homebrew it shows a bunch of files but i cant launch bootmii so im thinking about running that Trucha Bug Restorer without it. is that possible or will it brick my wii?

I just re-ran through the whole tutorial again last night. This really is the simplest way to do it on a 4.2 wii. When I did the bannerbomb, I just installed homebrew and dvdx2, I didn't bother with bootmii. You can run the Trucha Bug Restorer straight from the homebrew channel. Don't worry about bootmii, you never need to use it at all in the process.

Earlier posts also say that they encountered an error during the dopios. I believe that the error is coming from something that doesn't have an effect with version 4.2. If you just wait and hit 'A' a few times, it works fine. I guess just replace every instance of 'bootmii' with 'homebrew channel' and it works great. Also, you don't need to rename anything to boot.dol or whatever since we aren't using bootmii. Just extract bannerbomb/bootmii installer to an SD card and extract this to the same sd card. Install homebrew channel and dvdx2 and just follow the rest of the instructions using the homebrew channel and you are good to go.

Nope, just hit 'A' and go to the system files. Works great. That part should probably be removed from the instructions as well. (wanted to clarify even though I just grazed over it in my previous post.)
