I hacked my Wii over 6 mo ago. my children updated the wii and now i can not use USB Loader. What can i do to fix the Problem???
Instead of Homebrew running apps from an sd card, is it possible for me to make it run off an external harddrive? I have already followed this guide and the guide to installing usbloadergx, getting great results. I've partitioned my harddrive to wbfs and a small partion with 4gb in FAT32 with all the same files that were on my sd card. I already changed the setting in usbloader so that it uses my usb, so i wanted to do it for hbc as well. if you could tell me, that would be awesome.
Press 1 on the remote when in the HBC. Select "USB"
Damn I suck!!!!
when in hbc should you see DVDX in menu with neogamma.
the guide is saying that the errors in 1101, 1048 and 1053 appear if you have the card d3-2.
The drive GC2-D3 also has this error?
I previously softmodded my Wii w/ firmware 4.2U...however when I try to download an emulator, game, etc on the homebrew channel, the system freezes right when I click "download". Woah...any ideas?
My question is: the official USBloader site (Downloads - USB Loader GX) says that downloading a WAD only (and NOT a forwarder) is dangerous and can brick your Wii:D4)
(...about installing wads...)
-If you want USB loader GX as a channel, install USBLoaderGXr850.wad (this will install the full channel, but you can install the forwarder instead, USB Loader GX-UNEO_Forwarder.wad, which can be directly updated by placing updated version in the SD card, yet you will need the SD card constantly inside the Wii slot to launch it. Install whichever sounds more useful to you)
Note that your HDD needs to be formatted as WBFS with WBFS Manager.
This hackingguide talks quite easily about installing the wad-only or just the forwarder, it says:These channels are untested by the team, and can easily brick your Wii! These can also be updated via the loader's wifi update feature.
It confuses me. Oh and I want to install a newer version of USB-loader because I get an error with my usb drive atm, and an update could probably fix it.Install whichever sounds more useful to you)
