I currently have a hard-modded Wii (4.2U) and I just want to install HBC in order to use emulators to play SNES and Genesis games from my SD card.

I currently run/play all of my Wii games from burned DVDs and not a USB drive.

In line (A3)....do I ONLY install HBC and forget about DVDx and Bootmii (or are any of these needed)?

Also do I have to do sections B, C and D in the tutorial or just stop at A?

I've never done this before and any help is appreciated. Thanks.

do everything in the guide, so that you're sure you did everything correct.
bootmii is needed if you can install it as boot2, boot2 recovers 99% of softmod bricks
dvdx lets you watch movies, or media
    HBC (you know already)
but I do suggest do the whole guide
nothing wrong having hard mod and softmod, plus if your drive breaks in the future(hope it doesnt) and can't read disk anymore, your gonna turn to usbloading anyways, then you're going to do the softmod.

Hi Mekee. Thanks for your help.

I installed section HBC (section A only) and it works really well with no issues thus far. I also installed the Homebrew Browser an downloaded a few utilities & games.

I just have a couple of questions.

    1) I'm stuck on how to install the Homebrew Launcher. I read the instructions on Wiki but it wasn't thorough enough and I'm a bit lost. I downloaded the WiiHL rar file and I'm stuck on what to do next. Can you please explain this to me?

    2) After installing HBC.....do I keep ALL of these files (see image) on the SD card or should everything but the folders be deleted?
