Using hard mods is simpler as there is no software to worry about,
downside there are no groovy GUIs you can use.
When you softmod you can set it to prevent disc and on line updates.
Latest version from disc is 4.1, NSMB.

Did you find a way to solve this?
I have all the files in my sd card and i copied the hack code.
    Help pls
    Thanks
I bought a Black Wii last week it came with 4.2E. I could install Priiloader just fine.
Did it install good? Mine returned to HBC too.

You must HOLD reset for a few seconds, not just press it.

    Hope this helps

Dop-IOS MOD is a modification of the application Dop-IOS that allows you to choose which IOS you would like to use to install other IOSs (with the trucha bug if you like), channels, and system menus. It also allows you to install a patched IOS 36 to use to install fakesigned content if you don't have any other usable IOSs like Trucha Bug Restorer does.
Hermes released cIOS v4 last night. This could provide better compatibility for owners of LU64+ Wii's. It looks as if IOS 36 has been dropped in favor of IOS 38, to quote the readme that is included "IOS 36 works very bad with EHCI driver! I think it can be a bug in the kernel code when it switch threads or similar things. IOS 38 works very well". Installing IOS222 and IOS223 will not affect IOS249 or IOS250. Using this installer (v4) will overwrite previous installs of Hermes IOS222 and IOS223.

If you use USB Loader GX,, then since r749 and on, USB Loader GX has been updated for better support of cIOS 222/223 rev4. Unfortunately that dropped the compatibility with the previous versions of cIOS 222/223. So any GX r749 or newer needs this Hermes cIOS installer v4.
This is a Custom IOS, an IOS modified to add some new features
not available in the official IOS.
IOS38-64-v3610This IOS has been made to be used ONLY with homebrew software.
The Custom IOS installs as IOS249 and it does not modify any other
IOS so it is secure to install.
I found these answers to your question by just doing a google search. You can remove them from your SD card once you have installed them. I would leave the hack.ini on there incase you want to change anything in priiloader. If you want to take anything off the card I would take off the wad for ios70 so no one can accidentally uninstall it with wad manager by mistake.

This is none of the errors the tutorial is talking about
If you get errors 1101, 1048 or 1053 AND you are certain the media you are using are the correct ones (DVD-r Veratim at 4x) you most probably have the new D3-2 drive that does not read backups, and you should use a USB device.
