Remind me do you have bootmii as boot2 or IOS.

I am in the US, so will try to get the 4.2U if it's an option.
I accidentally updated to 4.2U (Grrr.) from 4.1 I think (crying over spilt milk... LOL!!).

As a result it broke my previous soft mod.
Also, because of 4.2U I now only have bootmii as IOS.

Further I have a backup NAND as well from before I did IOS70 steps 6 and 7.

    THX.

    Questions questions.

Guess I suck at searching cause I haven't found definative answers for my specific questions so here goes:

I ran through this guide up until D5 step as I have no desire to use USB devices or media players

    Wadmanager 1.4
    NeoGamma7
    cIOS249rev14 installed
Wii HW ver: I dunno, bought it 3 months after launch.
    bootMii as Boot2

Why is that when I leave WadManager or NeoGamma up for....about 1min..w/o any user interaction that 1. Neogama displays DSI exception memory dump 2. WAD manger/system freezes. Both require that I hold down the power button for 5 sec to power down the console, then reboot.

All my DL'd backups seem to work (except for Metal Slug, still looking into this). I load them form DVD-R. I have only managed to get Mario 64 Wad installed, all others lockup during install process. It seems they also leave the install files in NAND. After the install locks up and I reboot the console I go into WAD Manager and I can uninstall the files of the Wad that failed. I never seem to get a banner, for the Wad, in the Wii system menu.

    Thanks in advance.

Hi John, So finally I restored the system menu and all is well.
HOWEVER, as soon as I install the priiloader the menu goes blank once again.
So looks like when the priiloader displaces the system menu to insert it's process, something is happening at that stage.

For now, I will leave the priiloader uninstalled. Hopefully the next few versions will be able to fix it.
If there's anyway I can help resolve / fix this bug let me know.

try that if you haven't already

    Please help...

I have a little problem it part D:

D5) You can now install ios202, ios222, ios223. From HBC, run cios222 installer and select ios249 to use. At the next screen, choose the following, one at each turn:
-ios202, for usb - using ios38 (needed for USB2.0 support at Media Players)
-ios222, for uloader - using ios38 (needed for USB support of instruments and stuff)
-ios223 mainly for GH5 - using ios38 merged with 37 (same as above)
Mind that you will need an internet connection for this!! If you do not have an internet connection, see appendix. You can also install the ioses using any other combination you like, But those are recommended for now, until a games needs otherwise. If a game does not run with USB loader, try changing the ios it uses through settings menu to one of the above.

I have Internet but the IOS is not downloading. That give me "failled"

    Please help

Question You initial instructions were flawless, however?

    NOOB here...

I got Wii for Christmas. I followed your steps on page one of this post to (What I thought) the "T".

I have gotten Super Mario Bros from UTorrent; WinRar; Burned using Imgburn. I loaded DVD into slot and went into NeoGamma (Assuming that is what I needed to play the game)...

I noticed at the bottom that it is NeoGamma R8 Beta 15 IOS249 Rev 14...(Not 7 as mentioned all over the place)

***Note: After your instructions were completed I remember HBC asking me to update HBC. I did as I didn't remember seeing anything in your initial post saying not to.

FYI: My HBC consists of the following:

    Page 1: (!) cIOS 222 Installer v4
    cIOS38r14 Installer
    Dop-IOS MOD
    FCE Ultra GX

    Page 2: Neo-Gamma
    Prilloader
    USB Loader GX
    WAD Manager

    Page 3: Wii64

Thoughts on where I went wrong or what I need? I'm ideally wanting to play Wii games on a USB without having to burn to disc all the time. Trying to figure it out. Novice to say the least.

I accidentally uninstalled IOS22 (which is less than 200) but my wii didn't brick.
Given that it didn't brick, was that still bad?
Is there anything I can do about it if it was bad?
