I put the hacks file in the root sd card. I see a list of 10 hacks or so. I tired to load bootmii from priiloader and I recieved could not find fat:/bootmii/armboot.bin

    Great tutorial

I have a 4.2u. Worked great the first time! I've been running CFW on my PSP for a couple of years now, and look forward to getting involved with the Wii homebrew scene.

    Hello everyone!

I've been on and off the wii homebrew scene for a while now, and Ive just repurchased a wii for the 2nd time (for my mom for christmas). And I come to this site often to keep up with all the newest work you guys do, (as just a lurker), but i've ran across what I believe to be a simple problem, that I need help with.

Basically, to describe the situation, I have a Wii with a 4.2u firmware. I've loaded it with the HBC with a few other apps and things. The problem comes when im trying to install the waninkoko's cIOS38r14. I've done the Trucha bug restorer, following the tutorial from this site. Everything worked smoothly but when i go to install the cIOS, my wii mote loses sync with the wii and I have to turn the wii off and back on to restore the connection.. Ive googled this problem and have also searched for a few solutions on this site, and a few others have had this problem, but i have found no solution in those threads. One thread does provide a link to a tutorial that mightve been a help, but the link now is just a bing search.

So I have just 2 questions if you all have the time...

First, is it okay to start over from the beginning even though im already into the process of adding the cIOS, or even to re-do the Trucha Bug restoration. Is there some way to perhaps back-track to find out what went wrong?

And second question would be, could I possibly just install the cIOS using a WAD manager or do I have to install the IOS through the installer provided by waninkoko?

I do appreciate any help you all have to offer, and look forward to reading what may be wrong. Thank you all in advance!

if you already have a cios then do only c but run the installer from the HBC instead of bootmii an d at the beginning select the cios you have to do the installation. it will work.

    neogamma is to play backups

Thanks, but i'm re-reading the guide and noticed that I never actually uninstalled ios 249 (Step B)...i dont think that that would cause the problem. Wouldnt just installing the ios over write that. If I could i would like to just start over but i have a feeling that that wont be possible lol. I have a felling i screwed up somewhere but I dont know where.
