Go into the regional options and set the force video to either ntsc480i or ntsc480p. I use ntsc480i and everything seems to work fine. Pal tends to play b&w on ntsc players.

Also be sure to scrub the update and region free your backups, so all of them play on 4.2, and noon tries to update you! This is necessary for now, because preloader for 4.2 has not been released yet. Once it is, this will no longer be compulsory. But for now, be safe!

anyone who can explain me what does messi mean, i would be grateful...

also, am i going to play games through dvds or hard drives??
Scrubbing is done when you backup one of your disks, either to burn or play from a HDD. From what I gather, scrubbing erases empty blocks and changes the file slightly so that if it has a Nintendo Update, the disk will not try to update your Wii. This is necessary because if there is an update check on your disk, it will tell you it cannot run without updating your system menu. Preloader (a separate program that loads first - hence the name) bypasses all this, but has not been updated yet to run with system menu 4.2. So what he is saying is that until there is a new Preloader compiled and distributed, some games require scrubbing to remove the update check.
As for DVD or HDD, either one is possible. To play from a burned DVD, you need the info at the bottom of the guide, referring to NeoGamma and such (Where it says about playing from DVD I believe), but to play through a HDD, there is another program you need to install, a USBLoader, noted under 'Playing through a Hard Drive' or such and such that I don't remember atm.

Hopefully this answered your questions, feel free to pm me if you can't get further help

Will someone who knows how to compile get the latest svn and compile it for us? Latest is v30 but they have v42 in svn and that would help!

    I still cant play DVD's. I have a LU61 serial # and it was a 3.4U before i updated to 4.2

I installed DVDx and everything, everything went fine, but it still says CANNOT READ INSERTED DISC, even when using MPLAYER.

Still can't understand how scrubbing is done. I download a game and then burn it to a dvd-r. Then, how is scrubbing done?

B1) GET THIS PACK(Thanks to Dogeggs, he sure made the trick... this will probably work for anyone) or GET THIS PACK 2 or GET THIS PACK 3 (pick start with the first one, if you get an error pick the next one and follow instructions from B2 and on again. One of this will do the trick without an error. If still nothing, try this)

ok so i tried the packs and none of them worked. I went to the last link that said try this and it worked like it said it was. my question is how much of that guide am i supposed to do. Am i supposed to come back after i follow the steps or just continue with his guide? Thanks
