i'm having the same problem. I hope someone will come up with a solution.

I just wanna say thanks to the people who is working hard in order to get the unfortunate ones who had updated their wii version to 4.2 and unable to play backup games anymore to get back to their heels.

BTW, for any other noobs who are trying this process for the first time, note that the Bootmii thing will only load up automatically if you succesfully installed the boot2 fix AND you're wii is booted from 'Off' i.e light was red. If it's in Standby, when you turn the power on, you're only doing a softboot, so Bootmii won't get a chance to run. To get to the red light, you hold the off button in for about 4 seconds instead of just tapping it.
That info was slightly unclear in the tutorial.

I seem to remember if I ignored part B failing (so the nasty 249 stub is still there) I got a -1035 when I tried to overwrite it from online, or a -2011 when I instead tried to use the SD version. So I'm wondering if you're in the same boat as the rest of us (it's leaking a fair bit, because so many are now in it).
nope i got no errors on part B. it was successful. and yes i tried both installing from online and SD and i got the same error

First id like to say thanks to all who are helping.

My friend got a wii after seeing how good mine was after modding but he immediatly updated through nintendo and asked me to fix it so i read this guide and got about as far as everyone else i get the 3 ERROR -1017 when trying to remove the stub

i noticed trying to install the 249 wad it says it installs but i still cant remove it after good luck to all those working hard and i hope that this is fixed soon so the homebrew community can grow again
