if you can get TBR pack and run it from SD card teh same way as the others, it may work. installing a bugged ios53 or 55 from SD card with cboot2 should also work... i will add these on the guide as soon as i have he time

O.k. so here's the prob. I'm a noob, and as such I f*#&ked up big. I try to go to bootmii screen and get the screen i described b4. The answer to this was cioscorp. "Install HBC as wad using wadmanager."
Prob is I only know how to run wad manager from HBC
(which I dont have). Anyway since then I have stupidly updated to firmware 4.2u. Wii is not bricked I just cant access bootmii. I got nessesary files to install HBC on wii 4.2 but am unable to do so because of preinstalled cioscorp. So questin is how do I use wad manager to install HBC as wad?
Screen described b4 is: "This installer can NOT continue!"

I'm also having that same problem. So if I can get TBR to run, it will fix it? Do I just run it from the homebrew channel? I'm not too familiar with this stuff so any explaination would be greatly appreciated.

This is my first visit, and unfortunately I'm joining up after accidentally updating to 4.2E, my bad luck.. I saw you asking for extra feedback so here you go.
Wii is from original release
WiiKey 1.9s installed
Wii has been upgraded through most official versions, except for 4.1
OK, after updating to 4.2E, I found that only Wii Mario Cart will play fine, no other backups will work. My single aim, is to get to a point where my WiiKey is able to play my backup discs again, so I don't need to bother using a softmod, but if Wiikey doesn't work with the newer titles then perhaps I need to use Homebrew anyway.
So, I've followed the tutorial, and like Dea I'm at the B5 to B9 loop, where I'm unable to uninstall the IOS249. I'm now unclear as to what exactly to do. I'm thinking the latest suggestion is to get a copy of a different IOS from somewhere, and put it on the SD somewhere, and then do something with it.. but I'm grasping.
I see you advised to use TBR pack - so I've followed the instructions from here: http://www.wiihacks.com/recommended-...ny-wii-69.html
but at end of step 2, it said, "Error ES_AddTitleStart returned -1035" so I can't continue with remaining steps.
Any suggestions would be much appreciated.
Finally, what is a 'Virgin Wii' - is it one that hasn't been hardmodded? And what difference does that make?
Thanks all for your help.

virgin wii means nothing has been done to the wii, not even softmod
