I successfully installed the HBC, DVDx and bootmii as boot2. My wii boots into the HBC channel and everything works, but I can't seem to figure out how to get a NAND backup. "Put the SD card into the Wii, if you installed Bootmii as boot2 then it will load" do you mean following direction A2) again and hitting yes and going to the install screen? because there is no autoboot as it sounds like your saying. sorry if this sounds trivial but w/o a NAND backup I am treading very cautiously. thanks

Turn off your wii Bootmii should load automatically when you turn the wii back on.

thanks, I tried this but to no avail. Even though it said "success" the bootmii was not properly installing as a boot2, so I just uninstalled it and reinstalled as an ios and ran from the HBC. Now it's making my NAND I'm very protective of my wii or I wouldn't have posted so quickly

It might have been installed correctly, it might just be that your SD card is not compatible with bootmii. You may want to check and remedy that as boot2 is a significant benefit to the ongoing safety of your Wii.

Check the Wii flashes against my Wii below. This is a working boot2 install by the way.
Not really doing much Wii stuff these days.

hi! Just bought a new wii and just saw itīs a 3.4E version. Anyway i can hack it without connecting it to the net right now(dont have my router working right now...)?
Is it better to leave it at 3.4 ou updating it to 4.2 and following this guide?

Another bump here... part B8) "change the action to "uninstall ios", press A" I'm getting a 1017 error on 3 lines. Do I need the Trucha Bug Restorer to fix this? as far as I've read it isn't compatible with 4.2u which I [had]. thanks

you have to choose ios36 before. and then, when done, it asks you to (un)install ios249.wad from Wii SD Slot.
if you do this, no problems with remote
