I used the bannerbomb and hackmii to install the homebrew channel and bootmii again.

Do I have to update more on my wii to get the games on my disk working again.

Iam new on the wii, which you can see. My questions are rather simple/stupid.

@please-what IOS do you have configUSB Loader using? remember we could't use the stubbed IOS249 anymore but found a working IOS-use that for your loader. There's now a way to remove the stubs and replace them with working IOSes-if the fox I suggested fails-take a look at this tutorial and see if you want to try it: http://www.wiihacks.com/recommended-...-menus-27.html

@elbutre - this guide was only for what was stated in the title - you need more so go here: http://www.wiihacks.com/recommended-...-menus-27.html

Ok i'm confused big time, once again , I have the loader working of IOS250, do I now need to go through that same process and try and install IOS249? Does Guitar Hero 5 require something special in able to work off the loader that my other games don't?

Yes, GH5 always gave problems-to play off USB required Hermes IOSv4; the disc backup required IOS56, I think. Do a search-there is a sticky for Guitar Hero 5.

With regard to the second part of my note-I just wanted to let you know that there is a way to replace the stubbed IOS249 now-we went around the problem the other night. Just want to let you know that other options were available now.

i dont know if this is old news or not if it is sorry if not and anyone wants any details just ask me im here to help.

    it is now possible to:
get cioscorp v3.4 working on 4.2
    downgrade 4.2 back to 4.1
get rid of those nasty stubs
    use good old CIOS249 again
and so far everything else i used to use on 4.1, backup launchers etc. can now be used in 4.2.

tested on 5 wii's 2 of which were virgin 4.2 consoles
as i said im not sure if this is old news or not its hard keeping track of all the threads but if anyone wants my help just pm me

fair enough on the cioscorp (i've only done it by request) if you want details on the 4.2 downgrade to 4.1 just let me know ive read alot of your posts before messie so i'd like you to go through it before i post it. the last thing i want is someone bricking thier wii. but i have tested my downgrade on 6 wiis now and not had any problems
