Glad it worked out and you got your Wii back. I don't believe you used the waninkoko updater-at least according to your posts. Of course, I'm sure you didn;t spill all your secrets in the posts. Anyway, happy it worked out for you. Go back to enjoying your Wii and don't accept any updates until you check this site.

Hi guys, please, i need some help with this. Before i installed 4.2 update (stupid me!), my wii was working without a problem, i could load channels from the sd menu, everything was fine. I lost my hbc in the update, so i tried to reinstall it using this guide. I used smash stack method, but i was unable to load wad manager 1.3,1.4,1.5 renamed as boot.elf. It says something about a invalid elf file. I only got it working using wad manager 1.0, already as an elf file. I used it to install the HBC attached in this post (it didn't had an option to choose IOS250), but i got hbc back so i thought everything was ok. But now i can't install pretty much all i had before! If i load wad manager 1.3 or 1.4 thru hbc, i get a black screen. Wad manager 1.5 works, but if i choose IOS 249 or IOS250 the wiimote turn off and nothing happens. If i choose IOS70 or IOS61 it works, but every wad i try to install return error -1035. The HBC tries to update to version 1.0.5 automatically, but fail to do so. If i try to install hackmii 0.5 it says something about no vulnerable ios found. This is the resulting installer.log:

There is no known vulnerable IOS installed on this Wii.
Please note that we will not use a fakesigned IOS due to
    security reasons.

Look for an updated version at:
    http://bootmii.org

If this is already the latest version... well, suck it.
What have i done wrong? Is there a way to fix this?
    Thanks in advance!

Did you either have cIOSCORP installed or did you use the Waninkoko 4.2 FW Installer?

No, i updated to 4.2 using the wii menu. But about cioscorp, i ran a lot of different installers a while ago, so i'm not sure, but i probably had it installed, yes. One of those installers changed the gamecube loading screen, but i don't remember wich one.

Your IOS log looks like a cIOSCORP-installed Wii. The reason for asking is you have so many patched IOSes and that causes the problem with the HBC install-gives a msg of no vulnerable IOS...etc. I do recall there should be a specific sysmenu 4.2 procedural guide/tutorial for Wiis with cIOSCORP installed-run a search for it.

Yes, i'm certainly over the moon i've got it back that's for sure!

lol secrets, believe me I tried a million and 1 things to try and get it back up and running can't remember if it's Friday or Saturday at the moment. I did use the hackmii installer though to get the HBC back up and running, that part I do remember.

And then just followed your advise to get the loader to work again.

    Can't thank you enough

I didn't find a guide to remove cioscorp with sysmenu 4.2, i only found this:
    http://www.wiihacks.com/recommended-...installed.html
Is this what you're referring to?

I can't get past the first step, as soon as i try to install IOS36-64-v1042.wad, i get error -1035. I'm only able to use wad manager 1.0, 1.1 and 1.5 using either IOS61 or 70. With 1.21, 1.3, 1.4 i get a black screen and the wiimote turns off.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks for your help!

bhax - Maybe cIOSCORP uninstaller uses cIOS249? Install a cIOS 38 rev 14 and you should have more success.
Not really doing much Wii stuff these days.

gen3sf I need your help again!

When I backed up my Guitar Hero 5 to my hard drive it won't play via USB configurable loader, only via the disc since I did the 4.2 update.

I've read a few things about getting it to work but nothing is making sense and I don't want to stuff it up again since i've got it all working. Are you able to help me out with it?

    Thanks again
