Can anyone help a noob out please?

I am one of the lucky ones who did the 4.2 update. I have got my homebrew channel back up and running, but my configurable USB loader is no longer working.

I'm confused as to what to do next to get the loader working. I have got the Waninkoko 4.2 updater but isn't that to get the homebrew channel back up and running again? which is what I have already done.

    Someone please help.

    Thanks in advance!

Next step is to install Wad Manager and see if any of your IOSes remain functional Install Wad Manager and see if it will use IOS 249, 250, 222, or 223.

If none work, then you have gotten as far as possible, for now, as your IOSes were successfully stubbed by the Nintendo Updater.

Thanks for the info, 1 other thing though does the Waninkoko updater do the same thing as the Wad Manager? I've gone to install the IOS update 249 won't work because when i press A on it nothing happens but if I go to choose 250 it will allow me and then asks me to install from network? Is that what I should do?

Is there a chance that could brick my Wii?

    Thanks again

Install from SD card. No network installs. Use your functional IOS250 to install cIOS38rev14. Run the cIOS38rev14-installer and select IOS250 to use instead the the IOS249 you used to select. If that is successful, then set up your confg USB Loader.

    Me again......

Ok i've done the cIOS38rev14-installer, I selected the IOS250 then it comes up with "Select Custom IOS installation mode" either network which you stated not to or WAD installation?

Is there another file I need to have on the SD card along with the cIOS38rev14-installer? Because when I choose WAD installation it comes up with

    1. Mounting SD card OK
    2. Reading IOS38-64-v3610.wad, please wait ERROR (ret = -1)

Do I need to put on some sort of WAD file also?

Thanks again, sorry to be a pain. Stupid Guitar Hero 5 made me do the update!

Great news. For now also stay away from the Waninkoko 4.2FW installer. Still needs a bit of study-just as the Nintendo update was very different this time in terms of a seek and destroy for HBC and stubbing of IOSes, the Waninkoko Updater also is a bit different in what it is doing. You have everything you need then?

Thanks again, wouldn't of got where I have if it wasn't for your help.
