EDIT - hermes cIOS works with Configurable USB Loader, too. Since neogamma can boot from HDD, there should be an option to use an optional IOS (like IOS222) to boot the game, may it will be added in a future release.
I want to make sure I understand this. My games are DVD backups, if I install this patch, I won't be able to play the backups? This is only for games saved on a HDD?

ISO222 and IOS223 will not mess with DVD loading, the Neogamma or gamma 0.3 loaders use IOS249 to load games. Installing hermes IOS222 and 223 doesn't remove ar alter IOS249.

Well, followed the install instructions to a T and my wireless rock band 2 drums still won't connect. I am becoming very frustrated with this. I used the boot loader to load up RB and still no cigar.

If you're using DVD backup to load game then IOS222 or IOS223 will not do it, you need to find a thread for disc loading of these games. I know with GH5 you need to install an IOS56 found elsewhere on the forums. What is the "boot loader"?

So even though the game loads fine, I have to install another IOS for the instruments to connect? Sorry, just trying to understand this whole process. The boot loader I used is the one in the tutorial from the first post. I also have Neogamma but that doesn't work either with connecting my drums.

Instead of pressing "A" to start the game, press "1" to enter the options screen. Scroll down to where it says "IOS:" and select 222-mload. Now press "2" to save the changes so you don't have to do this every time you want to play. Now you should be able to play. Use this IOS setting for all GH and RB games, and games that use a mic. I don't have drums, but doesn't that insturment sync like a guitar?

I really appreciate this help. Pressing "1" in the backup launcher gamma screen does not do anything, unfortunately. Is this where I'm supposed to be for this? I feel like I'm so close!

I thought you were using the USB Loader from the first post, you will not get any disc loading tips from me, I have none to offer on GH5 or RB disc loading. I strictly use USB Loader.

Oh alright. So anyone running Rock Band 2 via a DVD backup, what's the trick to get the drums to sync up to the Wii?

You are asking a question that can be solved by searching, if you were to look in the tutorial section then you would have found:

    Hope it helps
