Sounds like a bad wad. I think you may have to go to BootMii and run a NAND backup.

I was afraid of that. I even reinstalled cIOS 70 and System Menu 4.2u. Same issue....any channel load resets WII.

I installed the wads to my wii, all songs show as purchased. I downloaded about 20 through the music store and after I downloaded the last few it filled my wii system memory (it always says it moves them to my SD and it does, but it doesnt remove them from the wii system memory)
Anyway, I played a song and after the song it couldn't save because the wii system memory was full. SO I went back to wii system menu, deleted the RB2 dlc, load RB2 back up through wiiflow and my save file was gone. Then going to quickplay none of my downloaded songs are showing up anymore. Anyone run into this? Its painfully slow to download the songs from the music store.
Download song... move to memory card... refresh store... saving. Slowest process ever.

You might like to use this PCtools to download the songs from your PC. The instruction are in the package.

About the songs filling up the wii memory, you can :-
1. patch ios37 if you are using disc loading
2. load the game with cios223 or cios249 (with 37 or 56 base) thru any usbloader
3. load the game using Uloader with nand emulation (recommended). Use this and you will not have "Out of date, cannot restore songs, etc errors".
Use this RockTheRudi.rar to help you setup nand emulation.

Is it not possible to download songs from the Music Store when on NAND emulation? I always get the 204704 error.
I think using the PC tools is a better alternative to downloading on the Wii itself, but I didn't want to download ALL songs. Now that you mention a song list and editing the list.txt, is it possible to let the RockTheRudi tool download songs specified in list.txt only? And is there a list saying which number corresponds to which song? Thanks!

It is not possible to download song when in nand emulation mode for RB2, you will always get that error.

For e.g. For Gen 5, you only want Holy Diver by Dio. Edit the list.txt file to :-
"http://nus.cdn.shop.wii.com/ccs/download/00010005735a4545/0000017d" (data file)
"http://nus.cdn.shop.wii.com/ccs/download/00010005735a4545/0000009d" (song file 1)
"http://nus.cdn.shop.wii.com/ccs/download/00010005735a4545/0000009e" (song file 2)
I have not actually use the RockTheRudi tool, but I think you can get the only song you wanted by editing the list.txt.
