Sorry for the newbie-ish question, but if I install Hermes CIOS 223, then I don't need to patch IOS 37 anymore? After installing CIOS 223, I just install the four WADs in the given link, load RB2 from USB Loader GX (rev 916?) with setting to use CIOS 223, and it will work? Or is the patching of IOS 37 still required? Thanks!

No, patching of ios37 is not required.
You only need to patch ios37 if you run the game using disc method.

Can anyone help with this? Found and installed the WADs (both for RB2 and RBB) and have all songs marked as Purchased in both Music Stores. Any can be downloaded and played fine but they only appear to be being saved to the Wii and not my SD (it says saving to SD during the download). Tried copying the files onto the card using Data Management and then deleting the file on the Wii but everytime you load up and play one of the songs they re-appear on the Wii memory again. Will installing Hermes v5 allow me to save it directly to SD (already have v4 working fine)? Running the game thru USB GX by the way.

How's it going, guys? Been a follower of the forum for a while, but rarely have much to contribute. I'm stumped on this one, so I thought I should make a post. I'm pretty sure I've read every post in this thread and tried plenty of stuff, but I'm not getting anywhere.
My system is 4.2U with soft mod and a mod chip allowing backup discs. Wii is about 2 years old now.
Back in January, I got set up with Gen 1, 2, 3, & 4 DLC. I used PC tools to build up 10 SD cards full of songs. Everything was working great.
This weekend I tried to use wad manager 1.7, but it was freezing each time I selected iso249. I was told that it was a stub. So I used DOP-mii to unistall it.
Then I used cIOS38rev17 to get my 249 back. Now my wad manager works again.
I downloaded the updated PC tools for DLC and got some 5th gen stuff. Moved it off to a new SD card. When I loaded up RB2, I realized now that none of my DLC from the SD cards will work.
I generated my own RB2 wads from the PC tools (one for each generation) and patched them to 249. When I load the game, all songs are marked as "Purchased" and they are downloadable. But when I try to load a song from my SD card that I downloaded with the PC tools, it has trouble. For older generations, I get the "is out of date and cannot be restored to wii system memory" message. For gen 5 songs, it just goes to the loading screen and freezes.
Any suggestions? Did I patch my wads correctly?
UPDATE: With Wad Manger 1.7, I uninstalled all my RB2 wads from 249 and then installed them to ios37. No change in how RB2 acts. I even tried the install 2 times, uninstall then reinstall.

That's the problem with playing thru SD card. If possible use nand emulation.
Your issue is the way you are running the game.
If you running the game thru disc, you need to patch ios37.
If you are running the game thru USBloader (wiiflow, USBloader GX, etc.) run it using 223 or the latest 249 (with ios37 or ios56 base).

Please forgive the newb. When you say "patch iso37" I assume you mean that I should use Wad Manager to apply the 5 different RB generation wads onto ios 37. Is that correct? Because I've already done that.
I'm not at all familiar with nand emulation. Does that mean that I can put 10 GB worth of RB songs on a flash drive and trick my wii into thinking that it is all stored in internal memory?

No, what I meant was if you are running the game via disc, you got to use DOP-Mii (ver 13 or below) and install ios 37 (not the latest version) and apply all patches. Then run the game via disc.

Nand emulation - See here --->RockTheRudi.rar
I got over 20+G running off Uloader (or Uneek), loading is about 8mins for Uloader and 5 mins for Uneek. Use Uloader first if you want to try.

Thanks for all the help I'm getting on here. I'm making good progress. Currently still using the disc method. Haven't tried any nand stuff yet.
I loaded up DOP-Mii ver 13. I used ios 36 to switch my iso 37 back to v3869. Great improvement now! I'm able to play most of my DLC. Songs from gen 2 and 5 appear to be playing just fine. Didn't test gen 1 or 3.
Half of the songs on gen 4 songs still give me the " out of date and cannot be restored" error message. For my tests, I am using a SD card that I made back in February. Before I did my recent "updates" all of the songs on this SD card worked. Now some don't. Any ideas?

I have a 4.2E softmodded Wii and have updated to Shop Channel v20 and used the Anyregion Changer to set my shop channel to US only now I get error code 205958 when trying to access the Shop Channel which I understand Nintendo trying to stop people changing their Shop Channel Regions.
Is there any way around this? I get an error when trying to access the Music Store in RB2 and the 205958 error when trying to get into the shop via the system menu. I could use PC tools to download the DLC but would prefer to do it ingame if possible.

Problem after running RB2_DLC_Gen_5_sZEE
I have a 4.2u NTSC wii with all the proper cIOS installed for the last couple years. Was up to 4th gen wad for RB2 and everything was fine. Downloaded RB2_DLC_Gen_5_sZEE today and selected the first option to create the new SZEE.wad which it did without error. I applied to Wii using Wad Manager 1.4 and again nothing out of the ordinary. I restarted the WII and when I clicked Homebrew Channel, it restarts the WII. I cannot launch homebrew nor can I run any purchased discs although Wii Menu sees it and lets me launch. If I run the bootloader from the SD card I can exit into homebrew and I can launch USB Configurable Loader just fine from there and run games off USB HD. Just can't do anything unless loaded directly from SD card. I uninstalled SZEE from Wad Manager but nothing. Even reapplied 249 cIOS and 36 cIOS. No luck.
PLEASE, does anyone know whats going on? I'd hate to use my NAND backup and start everything from scratch again.
[UPDATE]-just verified that clicking on ANY channel does this, not just homebrew.
