Hi, it has been a week of despair and triumph and I'm so close...

PAL Wii, PAL RB2 disc, NTSC shop (IOS 61), sZAP and sZBP WADs installed with correct error codes, 1 Gen and 2 Gen songs show as Purchased in RB2 shop, SD Card mode enabled, 1200+ blocks of system memory free. RawkSD and custom songs are detected and playable. 2Gb SD card, 200Mb free.

But...I haven't been able to download any 'purchased' songs to date. Prior to using the PAL WADs I couldn't even download the 0 point songs (insufficient points available). When I try to download purchased songs I get the "not enough available space in the Wii System Memory' error. Yet there blatantly is and it shouldn't be trying as SD card mode is enabled.

    Heeeeelp :-)

    Ant

I've been messing around with this for the last 2 days and I must say I am very pleased with this so far. The only question I have is, (that i cannot seem to find a definite answer to) is how can i play the downloaded songs straight from the SD card without them being on my Wii system memory? If i install cIOS corp and play the game through the disc channel, will they load only from the SD card then?

I'm quite sure regardless, It will always save to wii memory, then it transfers to sd card after its finished downloading

If your booting from disc they should automatically be sent to the sd after downloading them... I have used softchip backup loader and it works fine for me, I think I read somewhere though someone had some success with a cios and a usb loader though......

Well it backs the songs up on the SD card just fine. But when you play a song it transfers it right back to the Wii system memory...this shouldn't be happening. The songs should stream right from the SD card...This would be fine, except it gets to the point where my Wii system memory is full. Maybe I should have just downloaded one song at a time?

It is supposed to transfer to the wii memeory while you are playing but should transfer right back to the sd when you're done.

Nintendo needs to make it so you can use a USB Hard drive, Also i heard with 4.2 you can load SDHC cards and they can store like 32gb maybe 64gb?
