I read that I have to run a NTSC copy of RB2 through the disc channel for this to work.
I don't want to either hardmod my wii yet or install cioscorp.
I'm thinking to buy a NTSC copy of RB2. Given that i have installed priiloader and enabled the region free hack will i be able to run the game through the Disc Channel and then do what this guide says?
    Thank you.
no need of ntsc rb2 copy, just install properly wads for pal (just 3/4 gen missing but no matter, it's a question of time), and play throught the pal channel enjoy

GH5 work perfectly with wads from page 41

    cheers

sorry from my english, i'm french

    USB and RB2 DLC Manager

    Hey all,

Anyone know if there is a hack to load the DLC from your usb drive and not the sd card? I can only get like 70 songs or so on the max 2gb card.

Also, anyone know if there is another application for manage the songs on your PC? The RB2 DLC Manager has no way of sorting so you have to go through all the songs to find them.

    Ive been using this
Complete list of downloadable songs for the Rock Band series - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

to find out what songs are on there, then scroll to find the song. Would be sweet if there was a way to sort or better yet just dump them all on a USB HD and load them from there.

    Still kicks alot of a!

    Cheers

If there was source code for the DLC manager I could tweak it up. Not much for starting over from scratch though.

Look at this list: Master DLC List - RawkSD

If you want to use the PAL wad's you miss out on ALL of the songs listed in the sZCE and sZDE sections, for now. + There are a bunch of songs in gen 1+2 which i believe aren't even released in PAL regions, so its a fairly huge chunk of songs missing. The C and D sets may come out soon for PAL though, but we don't really know when.

For NOW, if you have yet to obtain a copy of RB2 but are planning too, getting an NTSC and changing your *shop channel*(NOT system menu) region to USA and gaining access to every single song harmonix has released is the better option.

USB loading works but has a few issues with moving DLC from wii memory to SD card.

You do not need to use the disc channel or cioscorp at all if you are using a backup disc, you can use a loader just fine.

I second that. I would love to take a stab at it as well.

Yar, just make sure to delete your shop account before swapping the region or you might get connection errors to the shop. But remember if you have purchased anything in the shop before you will not be able to get it again without re-purchasing!

If the shop channel tries to update when you go to delete your account, say NO, and get the shop updater here: http://www.wiihacks.com/homebrew-dow...installer.html

You mean that if i load a backup disc e.g using neogamma and then install the wads i can download the songs directly to sd card?
    Thank you.

they'll download to the wii memory then be moved to the SD card, you have to turn on the option for SD card storing, it usually pops up at the main menu when you first launch or after you DL a song
