Very usefull info and program. Thankyou a lot. I am still kinda confused on the whole regions thing though... So are these all of the regions?

    pal
    usa
    ntsc
    jap

    ???

I am not even sure if some of these are regions or not, i am confused. If i burn a game from PAL, and run it on my usa wii, will it brick my wii? Can the brick blocker protect this from happening no matter what? Is there any disadvantages of using the brick blocker, like will you not be able to go online with the game since it does an update? Sorry for all the questions, thankyou for the answers.

correct me if I'm wrong, but the regions are either PAL or NTSC, although NTSC also has two regions - US and Jap. If you use the brick blocker on ALL your downloaded isos, you won't have a single problem. Yes, you can still go online, all the brickblocker does is remove the wii firmware update from the dvd.

we are able to update our wii's from the games itself....as long as the game region and the wii console region is the same

All wii game discs have an update on them that will prompt you to update via dvd ..if your wii FW version is lower than what is required tp play the inserted Game.

If you allow a foreign region wii game(meaning not from the same region as your wii) ..original or backup to update your wii.... Your wii Has a very high chance of being SEMI-BRICKED. so that's a NO-NO

To Play foreign wii games on your wii safely... you must first patch the ISO with a prog...called wiiBrickBlocker.. before burning the ISO.

Wiu1.1 is also a good option, you can also check for correct filesize, and region at same time. I have noticed that patching a game from another region will sometimes not work and you must burn it "as is" when finished dling, it may brick your consoles, but, this is not of concern if you do not play online, so there is no risk if you just play the game and not online. And if you do brick, future games from your region will come out, so it will unbrick you in the future if you do happen to brick.

You only need to brickblock an iso once. What brickblocker does it remove the update from the iso, so once it's been removed, there's no need to brickblock it again, just burn away.

So then is it correct to say that the firmware update is NOT required to play the game itself as Brickblocker would have removed? Then why do they say that firmware upgrade is required to play the game, is just to update peoples wii who do not have Internet connection?

As far as I know, there aren't any games that require higher than 3.2 with the exception of SSBB which requires a minor update to support dual-layer discs. If you update your wii to 3.3, you should be able to brickblock and play every current game out there
